Our CTO Patrick Galliker showcased key innovations in our InkLogic™ printheads at the IPI Conference in Düsseldorf. The latest advancement in our microfluidic #MEMS chip enables controlled wetting of the nozzle plate surface with an ink solvent. This MEMS-based capability supports the simultaneous execution of three key strategies that enhance printing performance and printhead longevity: • Self-cleaning of droplet mist from the nozzle plate by constantly circulating the fluid film through periodically arranged inlet and outlet ports. • Rapid ink pinning and drying by enabling easy operation on heated substrates. Evaporated solvent condenses back into the wetted fluid and is reabsorbed into the circulation flow. • Nozzle dehydration protection by maintaining a solvent-saturated environment at the nozzle through the persistent solvent film. A big thank you to the organizers of the IPI Conference for hosting such an inspiring event. We are proud that our CTO, Dr. Patrick Galliker, had the opportunity to contribute as a speaker and share insights into the future of high-precision printing technologies. #microfabrication #micromanufacturing
