Description
This report examines workforce and stakeholders’ attitudes, opportunities and motivations about creating a culture of inclusion in the workplace of the Queensland Public Sector. The Queensland report provides an overview of the research problem issues and background, methodology, study findings, and recommendations for addressing the key areas of the Public Service Commission (PSC) Action Plan ( PSC, 2018 ) . In alignment with PSC ’s adoption of a social model of disability, the project team , through the design and delivery of a workshop and survey undertook a person-centred, participatory and inclusive approach to gain insights of key stakeholders’ understandings about inclusion in the public service workplace . Key findings include that in order to overcome issues around non-disclosure, supporting processes of fairness, flexibility and equity as values of an inclusive workforce were needed, as well as a leadership and a cultural shift. A set of recommendations and steps for future research are proposed.
Impact and interest:
Citation counts are sourced monthly from Scopus and Web of Science® citation databases.
These databases contain citations from different subsets of available publications and different time periods and thus the citation count from each is usually different. Some works are not in either database and no count is displayed. Scopus includes citations from articles published in 1996 onwards, and Web of Science® generally from 1980 onwards.
Citations counts from the Google Scholar™ indexing service can be viewed at the linked Google Scholar™ search.
Full-text downloads:
Full-text downloads displays the total number of times this work’s files (e.g., a PDF) have been downloaded from QUT ePrints as well as the number of downloads in the previous 365 days. The count includes downloads for all files if a work has more than one.
