Hello!
The ios button styles don’t match the guideline and look outdated.
Actually the whole framework is getting outdated at the moment, since Android and iOS have released major versions since the latest Framework7 update (last september)
This is affecting not only the visual, but also performance and new features which are even more important to be handled.
Good thing is the framework styles are very well structured on root vars, where you can use to overwrite and update by your own following new guidelines: Buttons | Apple Developer Documentation
That’s how I am currently doing to maintain my app visually updated!
Is the next update to Framework7 planned to be released soon?
iOS19 will be announced at WWDC in a couple of weeks and is expected to be a major design/UI update - more glassy/transparent/rounded elements (more like VisionOS)
There is no beta nor RC fo any new version available for download. So there is poor chance any new version will be released “soon”.
Hmm how is development for future versions usually done? There doesn’t seem to be anything in github (v9 branch etc).
@nolimits4web - no pressure - am very thankful for all you’ve done so far with framework7 - but just wondering if you have anything planned for future updates to framework7? Or are you now busy elsewhere? Would be very useful to know, thanks!
To second this comment, one may remember that previous versions were released at a high rate. Hence the apparent lack of further work makes me worrying about the dev.
I’m developping an interface to manage a scientific database. I have used a lot of environnements over the years, and F7 is really the nicest and most convinient. Thank you for this great tool.
From reading other posts I got the impression @nolimits4web considered Framework7 to be pretty much “done” right now.
However the anticipated large UI/UX changes in iOS19 may be something he wants to incorporate in the next version of Framework7?
I agree that the design looks outdated. The last release was over a year ago.
Android animation is also outdated. Despite the fact that the existing solution is very powerful and flexible, there are no guarantees to keep the project up to date.
I chose the Flutter development.
