I'm getting this same problem. I did install vsftpd and then was hoping after ispconfig installed I could just change it in the gui.. i guess not.

    /etc/init.d/ispconfig_tcpserver start
    Starting ispconfig_tcpserver
    root@ispc:/home/httpd/htdocs # which: no vsftpd in (/sbin:/usr/sbin:/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin)
/home/admispconfig/ispconfig/tools/tcpserver/ispconfig_tcpserver: relocation error: /home/admispconfig/ispconfig/tools/tcpserver/ispconfig_tcpserver: symbol errno, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference
    which: no vsftpd in (/sbin:/usr/sbin:/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin)
/home/admispconfig/ispconfig/tools/tcpserver/ispconfig_tcpserver: relocation error: /home/admispconfig/ispconfig/tools/tcpserver/ispconfig_tcpserver: symbol errno, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference

Any way around this now? What is actually causing the error so I know where to fix/replace this?

    thx

ok, easy fix (i hate when i dig 1 minute later and find the fix)...

removed the old traces of vsftp.conf files......
