When a tire meets a watchmaker… beautiful things happen. ⌚ What started in 1919 as a simple “M-shaped” tread pattern (yes, the one designed to push water away and keep you safely on the road) has just inspired one of the most exciting collaborations of the year. BRM Chronographes imagined a watch that carries a little bit of Michelin in every detail: 🛞 a crown inspired by our 1919 tire 🔧 three tiny white shock absorbers (hello Bibendum 👋) 🕰️ a dial where the historic tread makes a discreet appearance Two worlds you wouldn’t naturally put together. And yet… it works. It works perfectly. Because passion for precision doesn’t choose between wheels and gears. Limited to 19 pieces.

🚀 After the announcement, comes the start. A few months after unveiling the project, Michelin has officially laid the foundation stone of its industrial demonstrator for the 5-HMF molecule. The first of its kind worldwide. 🧪 Produced from bio-based feedstocks, 5-HMF is a breakthrough molecule already used in MICHELIN ResiCare’s non-toxic adhesive resins, helping reduce exposure to harmful substances for operators and consumers while ensuring high industrial performance. More than a new site, this marks the birth of a new European industrial value chain, one designed for people and planet. A new step forward in sustainable chemistry, a powerful illustration of how Michelin can turn breakthrough science into real collective progress. #MichelinComposites

Working towards the decarbonization of freight transport: challenge accepted. Imagine an aircraft that floats more than it flies, powered by helium today, hydrogen tomorrow. 🤝 With VOLIRIS, Michelin is helping design the future of low-carbon logistics in the sky. Our technology, crafted by MICHELIN Inflatable Solutions, allows the wing’s envelope to be both ultra-resistant and perfectly flexible, supporting extreme loads while remaining fully foldable and gas-tight. This is what happens when Michelin’s material science meets the world’s biggest mobility challenges. You’ve only just begun to see how life-changing a composite can be. #MichelinComposites

There are birthdays that truly stand out. Launched in 2005, the Tire Industry Project (TIP) brings together 10 companies representing over 60% of global tire production, around a common commitment: to better understand and mitigate the industry’s impacts on health and the environment through rigorous, independent, and shared scientific research. In two decades, the TIP has: ✔️ Built robust knowledge on tire wear, end-of-life tires management, natural rubber and the environmental footprint of materials. ✔️ Supported initiatives like the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the Global Platform for Sustainable Natural Rubber. ✔️ Guided industry practices and public policy with transparent data. Michelin has been a driving force since the beginning, convinced that sustainability challenges must be tackled collectively. As we move forward, the TIP continues to be a catalyst for progress, helping our industry evolve towards more sustainable, transparent and resilient models. Happy Anniversary 🎂 !
