XPR Network Development Fund

Overview

The XPR Grants Program is funded by the XPR Grants account (xprgrants) from the XPR Network Development Fund.

The purpose of this program is to empower developers, builders, and small businesses to create tools, dApps, and infrastructure that strengthen the XPR Network ecosystem.

All grant proposals must be submitted directly through the XPR Governance Dashboard.
This is the only accepted method of application — GitHub submissions are no longer used.

Once submitted through the dashboard, your proposal will go through the following process:

  1. DAO Dash Community Vote – The community reviews and votes on your proposal.
  2. XPR Consortium Approval – Based on DAO Dash results and milestone verification, the Consortium finalizes funding.

Grant Guidelines

Both individuals and companies are eligible to apply for funding.
The focus is on supporting useful, secure, and sustainable projects — with preference given to open-source initiatives.

Individual Small Team Company
Standard Grant Up to $1,000 Up to $2,500 Up to $5,000
Open Source Grant Up to $2,500 Up to $10,000 Up to $25,000

Special Company Grants may be considered for essential infrastructure or critical community services.

All milestones and deliverables are reviewed and monitored by the XPR Consortium and Core Developers.

Application Process

All grant applications are now managed exclusively through the XPR Governance Dashboard.

When submitting your proposal:

  1. Go to gov.xprnetwork.org.
  2. Create a new proposal under the Grants category.
  3. Clearly specify:
    • Funding amount requested (in USD / XPR)
    • Number of milestones
    • Detailed project description
    • Team information and experience
    • Links to repositories, prototypes, or demos

Be transparent and clear with the community — this directly affects how token holders vote on your proposal.

Review & Approval

After submission:

  1. The XPR Consortium reviews your proposal to ensure it meets the minimum criteria.
  2. If approved for community voting, it will be published to DAO Dash for on-chain voting.
  3. If the proposal passes the community vote, the Consortium will initiate an on-chain multisig (msig) for the first milestone payment.

If the Consortium requests clarification, applicants must respond within 2 weeks, or the proposal will be closed.

Milestone Process

  • Projects must report progress and milestones through updates linked in the governance dashboard.
  • Milestones are verified by the XPR Consortium before each payment.
  • Failure to provide updates may delay or cancel future milestone payments.

Payments

  • Payments are made either:

    • Directly in XPR from the XPR Grants account (xprgrants), or
    • In XMD or USDC stablecoin, sent by the core developers after conversion from XPR to stablecoin.
  • Each payout is executed through an on-chain multisig (msig) approved by the XPR Network Consortium members.

  • First-time grant recipients will receive payment per milestone.

Project Expectations

Applicants should demonstrate:

  • A clear understanding of XPR Network or Antelope technology
  • Evidence of prior work, code, or prototypes
  • Commitment to maintaining the project post-deployment
  • Transparent communication and community engagement

Strong preference is given to open-source, auditable, and community-beneficial projects.
