The 15th Business of IP Asia Forum (#BIPAsia) and the 17th #HKTDC Entrepreneur Day (E-Day) will be held on 4-5 December at the HKCEC. This year, the Taipei Industrial Design Development Association (IDDAT) is bringing “Poetry of Object” to Hong Kong, making its official debut at #DesignInspire! The “Poetry of Object” is making its first regional debut in collaboration with the Industrial Designers Society of Hong Kong (IDSHK) and the Macau Product Design Association (MOPDA). The #HKTDC Inclusion Month concludes with initiatives that celebrate diversity and accessibility. This year, we hosted a Braille workshop to empower colleagues in understanding tactile reading, promoting equal access to information. Our Inclusive Market provided a platform for youths exploring career development to showcase their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. Our colleagues also engaged in volunteer work, helping to serve meals, assist with packaging and support participant registration to make a positive impact and give back to the community. These activities reflect our ongoing commitment to fostering an environment where individuals are recognised, valued and embraced.

This year, #DesignInspire, themed “Where Connections Spark Inspiration”, will stage global design showcases, bringing together creativity and cultures. Drawing inspiration from Hong Kong’s traditional stores and Italy’s alimentari, design maestro Alan Chan, in collaboration with UNVEIL and Su Chang Design Research Office, will present the “BOTTEGA HONG KONG” showcase. Using an “open box” architectural concept, the space will showcase how Hong Kong and Italian designers transform everyday life into art. The showcase will feature 16 brands, including #anothermountainman #LeungSoKee, FERRAGAMO, Moroso Spa, MINOTTI S.p.A. and others, presenting furniture, lifestyle goods and design collectibles. “TINY STUDIO” curated by emerging artist #ChilaiHoward will offer a multisensory experience. The space will bring together 12 Hong Kong and Italian design teams to create compact living spaces filled with creative art, scent, digital media and live performances. The world-renowned French design exhibition Maison&Objet Intérieurs Hong Kong will return with the Design Factory and Design Showcase.
