Honored to share that Equal1 has been named Enterprise Ireland Company of the Year at the Ireland Japan Business Awards, hosted by the IJCC - Ireland Japan Chamber of Commerce. This award recognises our team’s pioneering work in silicon-based quantum computing and our growing momentum in Japan. Equal1’s breakthrough approach of uniting quantum and classical processors on a single silicon chip is redefining what’s possible, making quantum computing more scalable, practical, and accessible for real-world impact. A huge congratulations to Niall Keegan, our Director of Business Development in Japan, who accepted the award on behalf of the team and highlighted the strong interest in quantum technologies across Japan. Special thank you to the Ireland Japan Chamber of Commerce (IJCC), Enterprise Ireland, IJCC President Sarah Marie Hickey, Ambassador of Ireland to Japan, H.E. Damien Cole, and Senior Commercial Officer of Enterprise Ireland Japan Reiko Hiruma. This recognition reflects not only our technical innovation but also the incredible collaboration between partners in Ireland and Japan. We’re excited about what comes next. #quantuminnovation #Equal1 #QuantumComputing #CompanyofTheYear #Innovation #IrelandJapan #HighTechCollaboration #SiliconQuantum #TechLeadership
🏆 IJBA 2025 Enterprise Ireland Company of the Year – Equal1 🏆 We were delighted to present the Enterprise Ireland Company of the Year Award to Equal1, recognised for their groundbreaking advances in silicon-based quantum computing and their growing impact in the Japanese market. Equal1’s technology uniquely integrates quantum and classical processors on a single chip, making quantum computing more practical, scalable, and accessible for real-world applications. Accepting the award on behalf of Equal1, Niall Keegan, Director of Business Development, Japan, shared the following message: “It is my pleasure to accept the Enterprise Ireland Company of the Year for 2025 on behalf of Equal1. Equal1 is very much at the leading edge of a brand new field of technology known as quantum computing. Although quantum computing is not yet used widely in industry there are companies and organizations who are starting to take advantage of the power that quantum computing brings, in pharma for drug discovery, logistics for supply chain optimization, finance for risk analysis and portfolio optimization for example. Japan has a very keen interest in quantum computing in general and the promise of scalability inherent in the semiconductor qubit technology pioneered by Equal1. With the help and support of all our partners in Japan, we look forward to building a business here that can seen as a model for high-tech collaboration between Ireland and Japan.” 📸 Pictured: Niall Keegan with IJCC President Sarah Marie Hickey Hickey, Ambassador H.E.
