🚀 From Two Young Engineers to India’s Largest Private Rocket Factory In 2018, Pawan Chandana and Bharath Daka, two young ISRO engineers, took a bold leap, leaving secure careers to make access to space simpler, faster, and more affordable. At the time, India had no private-space policy, limited investment, and rising global demand for small satellites. This challenge became the foundation of Skyroot, a startup building next-generation, cost-efficient rockets for on-demand orbital access. The journey reached a landmark moment when the Hon’ble Prime Minister inaugurated Skyroot’s Infinity Campus, India’s largest private rocket factory — a symbol of ambition, innovation, and the spirit of young India. He also emphasised that “Today, the demand for small satellites is continuously increasing… Therefore, the global space economy is going to multiply in the coming years. This is a huge opportunity for the youth of Bharat.” Supported by AIM through the ARISE–ANIC challenge, Skyroot advanced green propulsion technologies and strengthened its technical foundation. AIM congratulates the team on the inauguration of the Skyroot Infinity Campus and celebrates this milestone for India’s space startup ecosystem. Atal New India Challenge is a flagship program of Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog. The program aims to seek, select, support, and nurture technology-based innovations that solve sectoral challenges of national importance and societal relevance. #AIM #ARISEANIC #Skyroot #SpaceTech #StartupIndia #InnovationIndia #AtmanirbharBharat #SmallSatellites #IndianSpaceStartups #YouthInnovation Narendra Modi | MyGov India | Skyroot Aerospace | Department of Science & Technology, Government of India | ISRO | Startup India | Government of Telangana | Pawan Kumar Chandana | Naga Bharath Daka
