Bringing Research to Life: SUSTAINABLE MECHANICAL SOLUTIONS IN HEALTHCARE | BCKIC TALK SERIES 2025 We closed the "BCKIC Talk Series 2025" with an inspiring session by Prof. Ananthasuresh G K, Professor & Dean (Mechanical Sciences), Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru, whose work perfectly demonstrates how simple, clever mechanical design can solve some of the most pressing healthcare challenges. Prof. Ananthasuresh showcased how research can move beyond the lab to create #sustainable, #market-ready medical solutions such as: 🔹 Dynamic Self-Offloading Footwear 🔹 Assistive Sit-to-Stand Chair 🔹 Digital Podiatry (D-PoCs) and how innovations from his lab have led to impactful #medtech spin-offs like SpOvum Technologies Private Limited, Translead Medtech, and strideAIde. This talk was one of the best examples of how deep research, smart engineering, and patient-centric thinking can come together to create accessible solutions for real-world healthcare problems. CSR & Sustainability Conclave 2025 | DAY 2 SESSIONS The Day 2 sessions reinforced the conclave’s mission: building a collaborative, technology-driven, and sustainable development agenda for India. 🔹 PARTNERSHIP FOR NET ZERO & CLIMATE RESILIENCE This session examined India’s path toward fulfilling its COP26 climate commitments, with a focus on renewable energy expansion, circular economy initiatives, and climate-resilient #infrastructure development. Chair: Dr. Manoranjan Hota, Former Adviser, MoEF&CC, Govt of India Panellists: • Ms. Prasanthi Prabhavati, Finance Head, Andhra Pradesh State Development Corporation • Mr. Sandeep Patnaik, Director (HR), OHPC Key insights included the need for tri-sector partnerships, robust #DPRs, green financing, and rapid renewable integration. CSR & Sustainability Conclave 2025 | LEADERSHIP SESSION & POLICY MAKERS’ DIALOGUE Day 1 of the CSR & Sustainability Conclave 2025 witnessed two impactful sessions featuring national leaders shaping India’s #development, #innovation, and #governance landscape. The "Leadership Session" brought powerful insights from Shri Sujeet Kumar, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), and Smt. Pi Lalrinpuii, Hon’ble Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Government of #Mizoram. Shri Sujeet Kumar highlighted how transformative governance, technology adoption, and grassroots empowerment, especially through programs like Swachh Bharat, LPG-enabled clean cooking, and Odisha’s drone-skilling initiative for tribal girls, can accelerate sustainable development. Smt. Pi Lalrinpuii shared Mizoram’s unique developmental challenges and called for stronger CSR engagement in digital learning, livelihoods, healthcare, and women-led enterprises, emphasizing the need for inclusive, people-first development models. This was followed by the Policy Makers’ Dialogue: “Enabling Ecosystems for Technology-Led Inclusive Development”, chaired by Dr. Dr.Santhosh Babu IAS (VRS), Principal Secretary, Government of Kerala.
