Founded in 1988, as a Scientific Society of the Department of Information Technology, now Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology(MeitY), Government of India, The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) is primarily an R&D Organisation involved in the design, development and deployment of advanced Electronics & Information Technology (IT) based solutions. With the delivery of PARAM Supercomputers, C-DAC has been the forerunner of the ICT revolution in India, constantly innovating and leveraging its expertise in rolling out national level initiatives such as National Supercomputing Mission, Mission for Developing Digitally Inclusive and Smart Community (DISC) with focus on Agriculture, Health and Education, Cyber Security and Cyber Forensics Applications based on Biometrics and Bio-Informatics Applications including Cancer Research using Artificial Intelligence etc. C-DAC is committed to addressing the needs of society through user-centric initiatives, working with integrity, transparency and openness and innovating for economic growth.

  • Accelerating India’s Cyber-Physical Innovation Journey! The Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) Lab at CDACINDIA Patna was inaugurated today by Shri S Krishnan, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, marking a major milestone in strengthening India’s advanced research and #indigenous technology capabilities. The state-of-the-art CPS Lab will drive cutting-edge initiatives in #IoT, #drone technology, automation, real-time systems, embedded intelligence, and cyber-physical integrations including Smart Agriculture platforms, Drone-Assisted Disaster Response, Indigenous Smart Makhana Farming, Flood Prevention frameworks, Secure IoT Testbeds, and more. The event was graced by Shri Abhay Singh, IAS, and Shri Arvind Chaudhary from the Department of IT, Government of Bihar, along with senior leadership from C-DAC.   • 🎓 Celebrating Innovation, Skill & India’s Toy-Tech Future! CDACINDIA Noida, industry leaders from the Indian Electronic toy sector, and the LEGO Group came together to celebrate the Convocation Ceremony of the 2nd batch of engineering graduates trained under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology’s flagship project, “Development of Electronics and IT-based Control & Automation Solutions for Consumer Electronic Goods (Toy Industry).” This specialized R&D initiative is equipping young engineers including those from SC/ST and NER communities with practical skills in electronic toy design, development, and automation. Over the past year, participants completed six months of training at the e-Toys Lab at C-DAC Noida, followed by six months of industry-based prototype development, all supported by a monthly stipend of ₹25,000. The event also featured the inauguration of the Electronic Toys Lab by Shri Amitesh Kumar Sinha, Additional Secretary, MeitY. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Smt. Sunita Verma GC (R&D), MeitY; Shri. Vivek Khaneja, ED, C-DAC Noida; Dr. Kalpana Johari, Scientist F & Chief Investigator of the project; along with representatives from the electronic toy industry.
