GSV is proud to be the "Knowledge Partner" at the "3rd Rail India Forum" happening on December 5, 2025. This partnership is significant as GSV, under the Ministry of Railways is India's only university in the sector of Transportation and Logistics. The forum will be focusing on important topics like Green Freight & Logistics, India’s Net Zero Vision & Policy Frameworks, Global Best Practices amongst many others. Forums like these serves as a perfect platforms for deliberations and shaping a roadmap for future actions and GSV is looking forward to be an aid to such discussions which ultimately are aimed towards Viksit Bharat 2047 mission. Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV), India’s first University in Transportation and Logistics sector, was established as a Central University by the Act of Parliament in 2022. Working under the Ministry of Railways (Govt. of India), the University covers the entire transportation sector including Railways, Highways, Ports, Aviation, Maritime, Shipping, Inland Waterways, Urban Transport and complete Logistics and supply chain networks. The university is headed by Sh. Ashwini Vaishnaw (Union Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, Electronics & Information Technology) as the University Chancellor. Exciting NVIDIA DLI WORKSHOP I had the opportunity to deliver a full-day (8-hour) NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI) Workshop on “Computer Vision for Industrial Inspection.” At Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya om 29th October 25. A total of 57 enthusiastic students participated and actively engaged throughout the session. During the workshop, participants explored how Deep Learning-powered Computer Vision can revolutionize industrial inspection processes — from defect detection to quality assurance automation. They gained hands-on exposure to several NVIDIA AI tools and libraries, including: 🔹 NVIDIA TAO Toolkit – for transfer learning and model customization 🔹 NVIDIA DALI – for data loading and preprocessing 🔹 NVIDIA TensorRT – for model optimization and acceleration 🔹 NVIDIA Triton Inference Server – for efficient model deployment In addition, students walked through key deep learning concepts such as transfer learning, fine-tuning, model pruning, and quantization, building a strong foundation for developing AI-driven industrial solutions. Exploring the Future of Technology at IMC 2025! Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya was proud to be a part of Indian Mobile Congress 2025, held at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi — Asia’s largest tech fest bringing together innovators, industries, academia, and government institutions under one roof. The inaugural session was graced by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, marking a powerful start to the event. The presence of Union Minister Shri Jyotiraditya M Scindia and Delhi CM Smt. Rekha Gupta, who emphasized the importance of IMC as a catalyst for innovation and digital transformation, made the occasion even more inspiring. IMC 2025 was a grand convergence of technology, featuring major participants like airtel, Jio, BSNL India, Samsung India, Ericsson, Vodafone, Qualcomm, Intel Corporation, and various Government Ministries. The event served as a vibrant showcase of advancements in AI, 5G, IoT, robotics, and digital transformation, offering visitors an up-close look at India’s rapidly evolving tech ecosystem. Our university’s stall, representing Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya was placed in the Academia Section, where our delegation interacted with industry professionals, technologists, and policymakers. The team also showcased student-led projects and innovations, demonstrating the university’s strong focus on applied learning and research-driven education. The delegation had enriching interactions with visitors from diverse backgrounds — from ISRO scientists, startup founders, and government officials to industry leaders and fellow students from across India. Many were delighted to learn about GSV’s unique vision and the spirit of innovation that defines our programs. From exploring Ericsson’s AI-driven railcar inspection model to witnessing Vodafone Idea’s CSR robotics initiative and Qualcomm’s AI and drone technologies, the event offered invaluable exposure to the latest technological breakthroughs and industry trends. The highlight for our team was seeing how AI continues to transform every sector, from agriculture and logistics to healthcare and education — a testament to how fast India is embracing intelligent solutions. We extend our gratitude to Manoj Choudhary, PhD Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, for his leadership and vision, and to Vipul Kumar Mishra, PhD, Dr. Anshika Srivastava, Pramila Jakhar and SUNIL SINGH for their continuous support and guidance throughout this journey. Bridging Knowledge, Innovation, and Discipline — The Supply Chain Science Workshop for Indian Air Force Officers The Artificial Intelligence and Data Science program at Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya is proud to have been an integral part of the Supply Chain Science Workshop for Indian Air Force (IAF) officers, organized from 15th to 19th September 2025 under the guidance of Program Director Prof. (Dr.) Jitesh J Thakkar, Dean Academics, GSV and Program Coordinator Dr. Shweta Saharan. The five-day workshop brought together 21 officers from the Indian Air Force to explore the science and analytics of modern supply chains. Through expert sessions, live demonstrations, and interactive engagements, the workshop aimed to strengthen the synergy between data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency. Our students from the AI & DS program contributed significantly in organizing, anchoring, and presenting during the sessions. Their involvement ensured smooth coordination and brought a creative, data-centric perspective to the event. Volunteers from the program — Abhinav Kesarwani, Ajitesh Channa, Sambhav Verma, Himanshu Singh, and Harsh Vardhan played an active role in ensuring seamless execution throughout the workshop. The sessions covered key areas such as Predictive Analytics, Digital Visibility, Blockchain in Supply Chains, AI in Decision Support Systems, and Vendor Management, among many others. This blend of academic expertise and real-world military logistics provided a unique platform for experiential learning and collaboration. The workshop culminated in an inspiring valedictory session, graced by Air Marshal Sanjiv Ghuratia AVSM, VSM, Ph.D., where officers and faculty exchanged valuable insights on leadership, technology, and the evolving logistics ecosystem. Smart India Internal Hackathon 2025 Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya We are thrilled to share that Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, Vadodara successfully hosted the Internal Hackathon for Smart India Hackathon 2025 on 18th–19th September, 2025. The highlight of the event was the overwhelming participation from students across all years and branches including first-year students who showcased commendable enthusiasm and innovative thinking. It was truly inspiring to see young minds pushing boundaries and turning ideas into impactful solutions. 💡 With diverse solutions ranging from software to hardware, the event had three different panels of distinguished judges evaluating and mentoring the teams. This ensured that every idea was not only appreciated but also guided towards bridging the gap between innovation and practicality. 🌱 The hackathon revolved around themes like Smart Education, Travel & Tourism, Clean & Green Technology, Healthcare, Transportation & Logistics, Agriculture & Rural Development, Fitness & Sports, and more — empowering students to think beyond classrooms and address real-world challenges. 🙏 A special thanks to Vipul Kumar Mishra, PhD for being the SPOC of the university and ensuring smooth coordination throughout the event. 👏 Kudos to all participants, mentors, and organizers for making this event such a grand success.
