When a community gains access, a child gains a future. Earlier this month, we marked an important step toward that future with the launch of FIRST IMPACT’s EK Prayas Early Intervention Centre in Hoovina Hadagali, in collaboration with our partner NGO SANKALPA. Rachana K , Head - CSR, IDFC FIRST Bank and Mr. Ravi Sakhare , Manager - CSR, IDFC FIRST Bank inaugurated the Centre, advancing our vision of a society that adapts, includes, and makes room for every child by reaching communities that have long remained underserved. With this newest facility in rural Karnataka, 300 more children with disabilities and their parents will access timely developmental support, like TLM-based early learning, physiotherapy, speech and developmental therapies, creating a foundation for lasting inclusion. Our CSR team also met with the 15+ teachers and field staff who make this work possible. Listening to their experiences was a reminder of the commitment and care that truly power community-based early intervention. At our FIRST IMPACT Lend-A-Shoulder 'Spin & Spell' initiative in Navi Mumbai, Noida and Hyderabad, the Customer Experience team created DIY learning aids, led by Mr. Ashish Pancholi, Head of the Department. In collaboration with our partner Proud Indian NGO, these 150 employee volunteers’ efforts will reach low-income classrooms where children need joyful, accessible ways to learn.
