Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hardware Engineer to design and develop evaluation kits for new radio devices. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating schematic designs using Cadence, as well as bringing up and testing radio devices.
Job Description
In your new role you will:
Design and develop evaluation kits for new radio devices, including schematic design, PCB layout, and prototype testing
Design schematic using Cadence, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company specifications
Bring up and test radio devices, including debugging and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, firmware, and system engineering, for integration of evaluation kits with overall system
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, datasheets, and test reports
Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality design and reliability of evaluation kits
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in radio design, and apply this knowledge to improve evaluation kit design and development
Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Electronics Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 2:3 years of experience in hardware design and development, with a focus on radio devices and evaluation kits
Proficiency in Cadence schematic design tools, including OrCAD and Allegro
Strong understanding of radio frequency (RF) principles, including modulation, transmission, and reception
Experience with radio bring-up and testing, including debugging of hardware and software issues
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple projects and deadlines
Experience with PCB layout and design, including knowledge of signal and power integrity principles
Familiarity with programming languages, such as C, C++, or Python
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including FCC, CE, and RoHS
