Electrical Engineer – Technical Services (Electrical & Instrumentation)

ACWA Power is looking for an Electrical Engineer to provide deep electrical engineering expertise across bidding, engineering, EPC review and asset operations.


You will support BD during technical bid development, assess equipment configurations, review EPC drawings, provide guidance to NOMAC and EPC contractors, and support optimisation of power plant electrical systems across ACWA’s global portfolio.


Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate electrical equipment performance, reliability, spare parts strategy and cost.
  • Develop technical input for bids and present electrical system risks/opportunities.
  • Review EPC electrical design packages to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Support root-cause analysis and integrate operational lessons into future designs.
  • Provide expertise in power electronics, AC/DC converters, MV stations and grid code requirements.
  • Guide EPC/O&M teams through design, commissioning and optimisation challenges.


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering.
  • 8–10 years in power/utilities (O&M, EPC or Developer).
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and grid codes.
  • Experience with power electronics, MV power stations, and BoP systems.
  • High communication skills and ability to solve complex issues.
  • Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, ISO and client standards.
