In October, I visited Resonac Electronic Materials (Hong Kong) Limited and hosted a town hall meeting there. While we usually conduct these sessions in English, this year at the request of our local team we held it in Japanese. The Q&A and networking sessions were even more upbeat and energized than last year – proof of how quickly our teams embrace change and push forward. We’ll keep driving open dialogue and pursuing a challenge-ready culture – because that’s the Resonac way. #Resonac #townhallmeeting #teamculture

Recently, I had the opportunity to revisit my alma mater, The University of Tokyo. Accompanied by our CHRO Nori Imai, I gave a lecture on the theme of “Corporations and Rule Making” during a seminar hosted by Professor Katsuya Tamai at the university’s Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology.   The lecture took place in one of the historic buildings of the College of Arts and Sciences, where I once attended classes. Walking through the hallways and classrooms triggered feelings of nostalgia, the wooden floors and doors just as I remember them.   The University of Tokyo is known for producing many future government leaders, and the students’ questions were sharp and thought-provoking. When I was asked about the passion behind my motto “Resonac is my hobby and specialty” I responded that my core aspiration is to transform Japan’s business model through the power of technology, talent, and culture.   I hope to one day work with the talented young people I met at The University of Tokyo and, with steadfast commitment, help transform Japan’s society. #TheUniversityOfTokyo #Resonac #BusinessManagement

On November 11 and 12, we held Resonac’s first-ever “Learning Festival.” Much like music festivals, the Learning Festival invited participants to freely explore the multiple “stages” of learning—enjoying knowledge and growth in their own way.   Alongside sessions led by external experts, our executives took the stage as speakers. We also welcomed actor Kenichi Takitoh for a talk session with our CHRO, Nori Imai, and myself. It was truly an honor to share the stage with him. With over 1,500 participants, the event was filled with energy and inspiration.   What makes this initiative truly special is that it was organized by our young HR team members. It perfectly embodies the spirit of Resonac—nurturing individual growth while fostering co-creation across the organization.   We’ll continue building a culture where everyone learns, grows, and creates together. #Resonac #reskilling

My journey continues!   After visiting RMJH in Malaysia, I headed to Resonac Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. (REAP) in Singapore. Having lived in Singapore years ago, I always feel like I’m returning home every time I visit this country.   REAP’s operations are centered around sales, and they have a wonderful team—bright, positive, and highly motivated—who truly embody the spirit of Resonac. Always great to see you all! #Resonac #Townhallmeeting

In September and October, I visited eight sites across the Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore together with our CHRO Nori Imai, to host a series of town hall meetings. It was my first time visiting Resonac Aluminum Manufacturing Philippines Corporation (RAMP), and I was deeply impressed by their positivity and vibrant energy. What a wonderful group of people! I truly hope this amazing team keeps thriving and shining bright! #Resonac #townhallmeetings

During my recent visit to our Kitakata site with our CHRO Nori Imai, we held a Town Hall meeting, a roundtable session, and what we call a “Moyamoya Meeting.” Unlike typical Town Hall meetings, the Moyamoya Meeting is a program where participants bring up their own “moyamoya”—the everyday frustrations or uncertainties they feel—and discuss them through the lens of our values. Colleagues are encouraged to propose concrete solutions, and management or site leaders make decisions on the spot. The purpose is to move away from a culture that tends to be top-down, create an environment where people feel safe to speak openly, and ensure actions are grounded in our values. We also want everyone to recognize that constructive friction between different levels of the organization is essential for healthy operations. This initiative was born out of feedback from my first year of site visits, when employees told me they wanted more two-way communication. In fact, the most recent Moyamoya Meeting received a satisfaction rating of 88%, which tells me we are making progress. At Kitakata, topics ranged from the number of female employees —pointing to a need for more diversity— to the length of internal meetings, but what inspired me most was how colleagues turned concerns into practical steps for change. That spirit of openness and co-creation is exactly what strengthens our culture. We will continue to build a company environment where every voice matters and where respect and co-creation drive our progress. Every voice shapes the future of Resonac—and I’m excited to see how these conversations shape our journey ahead.

🚀 On 26th Oct, our space-grade semiconductor encapsulant materials were launched into orbit! Our test chips were successfully delivered aboard the new HTV-X cargo spacecraft, launched by the H3 rocket, for evaluation aboard the International Space Station (ISS). This marks a major step in verifying our materials’ ability to reduce soft errors caused by cosmic radiation in space environments. We remain committed to enabling reliable electronics for future space missions. #Resonac #Semiconductors #SpaceTechnology #HTVX #H3Rocket #ISS
