  • 🌍 DLT Earth Case Study: STRAATOS Built to overcome the fragmentation and opacity in traditional climate-project workflows, STRAATOS supports the full lifecycle of nature-based and carbon projects: from field data collection to credit issuance, embedding transparency and traceability throughout. Through its ground-to-ledger traceability, open-source architecture, and stakeholder-inclusive design (field teams, communities, verifiers, investors), STRAATOS ensures every data point, from planting or restoration activities to benefit-sharing flows, is verifiable, auditable, and equitable. By digitizing the entire process, replacing PDFs/spreadsheets with structured, verified data on the Hedera Guardian ledger, STRAATOS transforms carbon credits and sustainability claims into credible, community-backed environmental impact, creating trust across developers, investors, communities and regulators. We believe this represents the kind of integrity-by-design infrastructure the climate action space needs: scalable, transparent, and fair 🌱 🔗 Read more in the DLT Earth Case Study: https://lnkd.in/dfsz2NvF

  • Exponential Science at QuantMinds International, London 🇬🇧 On 20 November 2025, our R&D Director Marco Alberto Javarone delivered a talk titled 'Navigating the Complexity of the Crypto Space'. He opened by outlining scientific parallels between quantum and classical complexity, before shifting the focus to the structural and behavioural complexity that characterises today’s crypto markets. A key part of the talk was dedicated to Nodiens, presented as a scientific framework designed to tackle market complexity through rigorous methodologies and data-driven indicators. With Nodiens, we transform community behaviour and market signals into robust, actionable insights, turning noise into clarity. During the presentation, Marco showcased real analytics produced by our research team, offering a glimpse into Nodiens potential for a wide range of users, from investors to institutions and researchers. At Exponential Science, we remain committed to pushing the frontier, bridging academic research, deep-tech innovation (AI, DLT, quantum), and real-world market intelligence. A warm thank you to QuantMinds International and all attendees for the inspiring discussions!

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗛𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 A recent event recap video by Genfinity gives reflections from judges and organizers of the Hedera Africa Hackathon, which was co-funded by The Hashgraph Association and Exponential Science Foundation, with operations by Dar Blockchain. More than 13,000 builders took part, 1,395 projects were submitted, and over 15,000 developers earned their Hedera certification, a very impressive achievement. What stands out is the quality of innovation from African developers. The projects presented in AI, sustainability, identity, DePIN, gaming, and real-world assets were advanced, relevant, and grounded in real needs. Teams formed across borders, students grew quickly with mentorship, and community hubs in Morocco, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Kenya, and Nigeria helped groups develop together. This hackathon is only the beginning, with The Hashgraph Association continuing to support top projects with funding, certificates, and growth pathways. By empowering grassroots talent and connecting African builders to global resources, the continent is becoming a proving ground for meaningful blockchain solutions, built by the next generation of Web3 innovators. A very big thank you to our judges and organizers, and everyone involved. Watch the full recap interview: [Link in the comments section.] #Africa #Hedera #Web3 #Innovation

From ethical frameworks to exponential scale: How UNDP is building capacity across 170 country offices to deploy blockchain responsibly 🌍 This fireside chat discuses the Government Blockchain Academy framework and why education comes before implementation. Featuring: - Robert Pasicko, Team Leader, UNDP AltFinLab - Nikhil Vadgama, Director, Exponential Science Global inequality today: - 1.3 billion people lack financial services - 1/3 of humanity lacks internet access - Deep digital divide risks further marginalizing vulnerable populations The question: Will emerging technologies like blockchain and AI reduce inequality or deepen it? UNDP's Role: Global Steward for Ethical Tech Governance "When it comes to ethical frameworks, do we really want to just let tech billionaires decide? Or do we want a more inclusive, human-centered approach?" - Robert Pasicko UN's unique positioning: ✓ Neutral global entity ✓ Mandate focused on peace and development ✓ Presence in 170 countries ✓ Convening power across governments, private sector, innovators Education-First Approach: The Blockchain Academy "We had to look in the mirror first. We don't know enough ourselves." - Robert Pasicko Why education came first: - UNDP needed to upskill itself before advising governments - 170 country offices trained through Blockchain Academy - Education enables meaningful engagement and responsible piloting Some governments embrace blockchain enthusiastically Others ask you to leave when you mention "blockchain" "Even when we've talked to regulators in certain parts of the world, it is still very much the danger of cryptocurrency that they see as the barrier to any use of blockchain that is present even in financial services." - Nikhil Vadgama Solution: Regulatory education showing blockchain's applications beyond cryptocurrency: supply chain traceability, digital identity, social payments, land registries, credentials. UNDP Blockchain Advisory Group: Collaboration Over Competition New initiative uniting 25 major blockchain organizations (C-level) to: - Identify priority use cases - Co-define investment areas - Scale impact through partnership "We must shift from competition to collaboration. Competition means fighting for the same small cake. Collaboration means making a much larger cake for everybody." - Robert Pasicko Education before implementation (not technology push) This isn't about coding in GitHub. It's about being the bridge connecting: - Fantastic innovators doing fantastic work - Governments who need solutions - Citizens who deserve better lives 📺 Watch the complete fireside chat: https://lnkd.in/g9C6XQqg Co-organized by UNDP AltFinLab and Blockchain for Good Alliance (BGA)

Blockchain Academy and Accelerator Lead at UNDP Regional Hub for Europe and Central Asia

Following the release of our event video, I am excited to share a few highlights from the unveiling of the Government Blockchain Academy, an initiative by my team at UNDP AltFinLab in partnership with the Exponential Science, presented during TOKEN2049 in Singapore. We had an inspiring and productive closed-door lunch with over 30 leaders from across the blockchain industry, discussing how we can bring blockchain innovation into the public sector and accelerate digital transformation in governments globally. The momentum from this event has been incredible. We are now working closely with several UNDP Country Offices and government partners across more than 10 countries as we move toward selecting 3–4 pilot countries for the Academy’s first implementation phase. I am truly honoured to be leading this initiative alongside my colleagues Marina Storgaard, Robert Pasicko, Teodor Petricevic, Irena Cerovic and our partner Aaron Evencio Sanchez, Salman Halawi, Nikhil Vadgama, Paolo Tasca, Katerina Sanchez-Schilling and I am excited about the impact we can create together. Looking forward to the year ahead and to bringing this vision into action. ✨
