Autonomous drone racing just hit a new milestone. Last weekend, the 𝗔𝟮𝗥𝗟 𝘅 𝗗𝗖𝗟 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗗𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 brought 𝟭𝟰 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 to ADNEC Abu Dhabi for one of the most advanced AI drone competitions ever staged — with a $𝟭𝗠 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗹, four extreme race formats, and a highly challenging track that pushed perception-based autonomy to its limits. 🏆 MavLab (TU Delft) delivered a standout performance — winning the 𝗔𝗜 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 with the fastest overall time, dominating the AI Drag Race, and achieving a strong finish in the AI vs Human challenge. 🏁 TII Racing (Abu Dhabi) took home the 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶-𝗗𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗲 title, mastering speed in complex group dynamics.
