HSBC and Prudential join forces for age-friendly workplaces

Kudos to HSBC and Prudential Assurance Company Singapore for championing more age-friendly workplaces! 👏 The financial institutions are among the employers working alongside the Ministry of Manpower, National Trades Union Congress (NTUC), Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF), and Workforce Singapore (WSG) to 𝐜𝐨-𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, through the Alliance for Action on Empowering Multi-Stage Careers for Mature Workers (AfA-EMW). As part of the AfA-EMW initiative, HSBC and Prudential will prototype workforce development programmes, co-shaped with support from WSG and IBF – that focus on areas such as fractional workforce and internal mobility pathways to support mature workers in their career journeys. Tripartite partnerships like AfA-EMW play a vital role in fostering inclusive workplaces. By tapping into the wealth of experience our seniors bring, we can build a more resilient and future-ready workforce. 💼🌱 About the AfA-EMW: The AfA-EMW operates under the Tripartite Workgroup on Senior Employment (TWG-SE), convened by the Ministry of Manpower, National Trades Union Congress (NTUC), and Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF). It brings together diverse stakeholders to co-create innovative solutions that support senior employment, as seniors have a wealth of experience and expertise that employers can tap on. Through the AfA-EMW, employers co-create and prototype real-world solutions to make jobs and workplaces more age-friendly, with funding and consultancy support.   #seniorworkers #tripartite #TWGSE #AfAEMW #AgeFriendlyWorkplace

When we think about career success, we often focus on the traditional milestones — promotions, new roles or the next big career move. But true career longevity is about pathways that empower workers at every stage of their journey, especially as they bring years of experience to the table. Earlier in the week, Workforce Singapore (WSG) celebrated a milestone in this vision with the launch of the Alliance for Action - Empowering Multistage Careers for Mature Workers (AfA-EMW) prototypes. This initiative underscores our commitment to supporting Singapore’s workforce in building sustainable, long-term careers. As a member of the Tripartite Working Group on Senior Employment (TWG-SE), WSG has been working alongside forward-thinking employers like Micron Technology, as well as ecosystem enablers like Homage, to develop transformative solutions in areas such as career re-entry, skills transition and succession planning. Over 30 companies have crafted innovative prototypes that:  ✅ Leverage the expertise of experienced professionals and create career pathways that value both experience and adaptability.  ✅ Foster age-inclusive workplace cultures, best practices and employer capabilities that support diverse and multi-stage careers.  ✅ Build sustainable models for long-term career longevity, ensuring opportunities for growth at every stage. These prototypes are more than just a reflection of tripartite collaboration — they represent a bold step forward in reimagining how we can build inclusive, future-ready careers for all. We are excited to see how these innovative solutions will scale across industries, ensuring that Singaporeans can continue to grow and thrive, regardless of age or career stage. #CareerHealth #WorkforceSingapore #SeniorWorkers #Tripartite #TWGSE #AfAEMW #AgeFriendlyWorkplace #AgeFriendlyJobs   Dilys Boey Cheng Kwee Tan Brandon Lee Teresa Mok Zhi Jia YAP Safrah M Eusoof Anderson Ee Seah Lee Mui Kenneth Wong Mathia Lee (Ph.D.) Clovis Chew Louise Loh Ministry of Manpower IBFSG - The Institute of Banking & Finance Singapore Singapore Semiconductor Industry Association (SSIA) National Council of Social Service (NCSS) Adecco Association of Small & Medium Enterprises Fractional Directory HSBC Homage Kampong Kapor Community Services (KKCS) Micron Technology Prudential Assurance Company Singapore QED Teambuild Construction Group Unilever
