  • “I have never done financial planning for my company and I am not a finance expert. What should I start with?” It is a lot simpler than you may think - at least with Tailwindapp.eu: Simple & Easy Cash Flow Forecasting! 1) Start your 30 day free trial of Tailwind - takes less than a minute, link in the comments. 2) Activate data import from your bank (takes 2-3 minutes). 3) Click “Mirror Last Month” - Tailwind will then create an initial forecast based on you past transaction history. 4) Confirm, adjust or delete transactions in the initial forecast. “Clone” those that are likely to repeat every month, quarter or year. 5) Add more transactions by clicking above the chosen date on the timeline. 6) Your forecast is ready! You can now see the expected bank account balance of your company on any future date. The default view shows every day and every transactions but there are lots of prebuilt filters for monthly totals, 3-6-9 month summaries, forecast per project, client, period, current year etc. Of course, forecasts need to be updated on regular basis - but that is also very simple with Tailwind: 1) Every time you log in, your forecast will update itself: it will receive data on the latest transactions from your bank and will compare that with your planned transactions. Whatever has been paid or received will be automatically marked as such and removed from the forecasts. Overdue transactions will be flagged for your attention. 2) If any of your assumptions have changed, just drag and drop the respective transaction to another date. Or click on it to adjust the amount, likelihood or other details. Plus, your forecast will always start on today’s date. No rows/columns to delete, no formulas to update! Being in control of your cash flow will take just 5-10 minutes per week with Tailwind. This will allow you to take timely decisions and have peace of mind!

  • Small nuances matter. And that's why we spend a considerable amount of time polishing what has already been built rather than building new features. The upgrades launched this week include: 1) "Reserved" card transactions: when importing data from your bank, now you will also see the card transactions in "reserved" status on your past balances chart; 2) "Current year" filter - we introduced a filter that automatically preselects the current calendar year in the In, Out & Tags sections 3) Counterparty names - previously in some cases counterparty names were "bumping into one another" on the past balances chart if you had many transactions on the same date. And guess what - our users noticed these without us even informing them. So...small nuances matter!

"We tried cash flow forecasting for our business but it took too much time to keep our forecasts up to date." We keep hearing this from entrepreneurs who had tried to use spreadsheets for their forecasting. Spreadsheets have their advantages - you can build whatever you want. But what's the point of a fancy forecast if it is not being updated? Here are just some of the reasons why Tailwind requires just a few minutes per week to be in control: 1) It takes less than 10 minutes to build your forecast. Tailwind will automatically build the initial forecast based on your bank transaction data; 2) Your forecast will always start on today's date. No rows or columns to add or delete, no formulas to check. 3) Your forecast will update itself if you enable automatic data import from your bank; 4) Just drag and drop: adjusting your assumptions is super easy with our "drag and drop" feature. Financial planning can and should be easy!

  • How do you add early stage assumptions to your cash flow forecast? You just met a potential client and understood the scope of a project you have a good chance of winning. You want to see how would this project impact your firm's cash flow. With Tailwindapp.eu: Simple & Easy Cash Flow Forecasting it is very straightforward: 1. Click on the "+" at the lower right corner. Or, even better, move the cursor along the timeline towards the date when you expect to receive the payment - and click. 2. • So you are working on 2026 plans for your company. What's more important: a) to understand whether your company will have a profit in accounting terms; or b) whether your company will have enough cash in the bank throughout the year? If (b), look no further. Check out Tailwindapp.eu: Simple & Easy Cash Flow Forecasting. It is visualized, automated and lets you be in control by spending just 5-10 minutes per week!

  • Not all planned transactions in your cash flow forecast are made equal. Some appear virtually certain: "we have already issued the invoice and this client always pays on time". Others are just a wild guess: "looks like we might win this engagement by mid-November; we should be able to deliver it by the end of January and get paid within 20 days after that". Shouldn't you be able to immediately distinguish the safe bets from the wild guesses...and check what should you expect if only safe bets materialize? We agree, you should. From now your Tailwindapp.eu: Simple & Easy Cash Flow Forecasting forecast lets you: 1) Adjust the likelihood of each planned transaction; 2) See the likelihood of each transaction by just looking at your forecast; 3) Filter your forecast to see only transactions of certain likelihood. Check it out and let us know what you think!
