About this app

Thunderbird is a powerful, privacy-focused email app. Effortlessly manage multiple email accounts from one app, with a Unified Inbox option for maximum productivity. Built on open-source technology and supported by a dedicated team of developers alongside a global community of volunteers, Thunderbird never treats your private data as a product. Supported solely by financial contributions from our users, so you never have to see ads mixed in with your emails again.

What you can do

  • Ditch multiple apps and webmail. Use one app, with an optional Unified Inbox, to power through your day.

  • Enjoy a privacy-friendly email client that never collects or sells your personal data. We directly connect you to your email provider. That’s it!

  • Take your privacy to the next level by using OpenPGP email encryption (PGP/MIME) with the “OpenKeychain” app, to encrypt and decrypt your messages.

  • Choose to sync your email instantly, at set intervals, or on-demand. However you want to check your email, it’s up to you!

  • Find your important messages using both local and server-side search.

Really on board for this app! I've had so many issues with so many apps but I think I might finally be able to settle. Only one bit of feedback I'd really liked implemented—RTF or html signatures! I want my signature to be the same as it is on my desktop, where I've gone to the trouble of making a nice html signature but no matter how hard I try (including importing settings from TB desktop, pasting from existing formatted text) this app de-formats my signature to pure text with no formatting.

new menu for changing email accounts is cumbersome. I can no longer do it with just my left hand because I can't comfortanly reach the part that opens it up. It's also fruatrating that now after selecting an account it requires me to swipe the navigation bar away instead of immediately displaying the inbox. not sure why this was changed but it's a massive downgrade and I'm debating finding a new email app.

Just trying the app having been using Fairmail, which is good too. Quickly noticed that Thunderbird doesn't have a Print function, which seems odd and basic. The Share function doesn't really do it. Will keep using it but it's not user friendly to have to go to another email client just to print. Also noticed no ability to filter messages. Again, need to go back to another client to do this. Otherwise, pretty good so far. Keep up the good work though.
