At the time of writing this, there appears to be no way to set up a u7 pro as standalone. After much fuss, trying different firmware, and allot of hair pulling and factory resetting, I discovered that the issue is the android version of the app. Fix this please. When using an iPhone, standalone setup was much easier. Hope this helps someone out there. Fold 4.

Very helpful for at-a-glance network status as well as configuration, I use both the mobile and web apps. Only complaint is it's a bit hard to find things sometimes (I can never remember where port forwarding is). And very happy with the ecosystem as installed in a ~1900 remodeled multi family, though I needed an external guide/comparison site to have any idea what hardware to buy.

Powerful app. Can do more with it than most other network vendor mobile apps and it's UI is designed very well. My only wish for both the mobile AND web apps both is that logging was more granular and detailed. Not grouped together. ie internet connection was lost multiple times on x date. We have SLAs and need to hold ISPs accountable and we cannot with that kind of logging. But that has nothing to do with this app, it's a company thing I'll be addressing directly with Ubiquiti.
