Power supply
Installing the batteries: open the battery cover onthe back of
‘the radio, and insert the batteries and follow the image at the left
‘in order to place the batteries (AA 1.5V x 2) in the right direction
NOTE: When listening 10 the radio, if the radio volume
becomes unstable or the display becomes dark or flashing,
the batteries will need to be replaced.
Using external power supply: This adio can be powered using
any universal DCSV power supply with a USB connection.
Connect the external power to the Power DCSV USB jack @®
ofthe radio and then connect to a power outlet.
NOTE: Before using an external power supply, please check
the external power supply voltages noted on the cable.
External power supply voltages for this radio can range
between 3V-SV. Any voltage beyond the 5V will cause the
radio not to work properly and could cause damage fo the
radio,
ns for buttons function
‘There are 3 operational modes for the buttons on the radio:
short press, long press, and hold, Unless stated otherwise,
all operations described inthis document are short press.
Short press: press the key briefly, and the function starts to work,
‘Long press: press and hold the button for more than 1.2
seconds. This invokes the long-press function of the button.
‘Hold: Press and hold the button. The function will continue to
work while the key is depressed. This is useful for functions
such as tuning toa desired radio frequency.
Key labeling rules: short press All keys to achieve labeled
in white function, long press achieve red function. Some
functions can be activated when the radio is off, such as
clock setting and a few other functions that will be described
later. Most other functions work only when the radio is on,
3Power lock switch:
‘The Power lock switeh® onthe side ofthe radio must be ON
forall ofthe keys to work, and ifit inthe OFF state, all keys
can't work. Also use this switch to completely turn off the
power to the radio and all functions, including the time on
the clock display. This saves the battery and prevents the
radio from inadvertently turning on by accidentally pressing
using the On/Off button or any other keys and losing power
or damaging the radio.
‘On/Off button:
Put the power lock @ in the on state, and long press ON/OFF
button®) turns on the radio to reveive radio stations. To turn
off the radio, long press ON/OFF button) again, When Off
state, the radio wil then display the clock. Pressing MuteD)
‘button to stop the sound from the radio, and pressing itagain
restores the sound from the radio
Tuning+ button and Tuning- button:
‘Adjusting the frequency band frequency using the Tuning
+button® and Taning- button) uses three modes of
operation:
Short press mode: short pressing tuning button tunes the
frequency upward or downward in single steps each time the
buttons pressed.
‘Automatic mode: long pressing tuning button but releasing
it in 1 second activates an automatic station search, and
stops when a clear signal is eached, showing the frequency
inthe LCD display.
‘Long press mode: Hold on Gor Tuning button, the frequency
‘will automatically search up o down more quickly, and will stop
when the button is released.
‘NOTE: The three modes of operation function independently
and can be used in any order desired.

The volume down © and up @ button:
Press to change the volume by a single step. long press to
change the volume quickly until the key is released. The
highest volume stops at the 32 evel. The lowest is 0
Memory button:
Press Memory button for manual search function: inthe On
state, press Memory button@) activates the memory function.
The memory function is used to store radio stations, such as SW,
MW, FM and LW, And all quantity of memory stations can be
stored up to 100. The frequency band of any of the stations can
be adjusted up or dowa using Tuning* button® or @) to find
‘the target, or best frequency. When the target frequency is found,
press Memory@ button and the number will appear in the upper
right corner, and press Tuning button® or © to change the
stored number, and then press Memory@) again to confirm that
the station has been stored
Long press Memory button for automatic station search
function: press FM button, then long press Memory)
button, the radio will auto search forthe stations available,
and store them meanwhile.
M+(Channel Shift) button:
Through the above ways to stored the radio stations, then
press the M4 (ChannelShift)@button, the number appears
in the upper right corner of display that stores the address
‘in memory. Then in 2 seconds, using the tuning+@and the
tuning-@) buttons, to increase or decrease the station
memory addresses. Frequencies not stored will be skipped
and not appeer. When done storing the frequencies wanted,
stop operating for2 seconds, or press any other keys, the M
Jogo will then disappear.
“Favorite” button
‘The default frequency can also be customized to set any other
“Favorite” frequency as the default frequency. Ths is avery
useful button, because once you have chosen your favorite
5frequency from the FM band and have set that frequency in
this buttons the new default frequency, pressing it, even when
the radio is of, the radio will turn on and immediately bring up
your fevorite station, Naturally, you will need to have batteries
installed and meanwhile the Power lock ® in the ON state,
and which in order to use this button
To change the default frequency, press tuning button> @or
tuning button- to the FM frequency desired. Then, long
press the Favorite button®as it automaticaly stores the
frequency you have chosen as the default frequency.
Note that only one default frequency ean be used ata time.
Time Preset:
‘The radio must be in the Off state. Use a long press SW/Time®)
button change to the clock setting. When the dgitl clock stars
blinking on the display, use the MW/Hour® button to set the
hour and use the FM/Minutef® buton to set the minutes. When
finshed, you can either press SW/Timebutton or wait for afew
seconds andi will ever back to normal and show the correct time.
Alarm Clock:
‘The radio must again be inthe Off tate, This time, use a press
‘SW/Time®@button o open the status ofthe alarm (see indicator
ion on the display). While the alarm is opening, long press
SW/Timet® button and then the alarm time to start blinking,
allowing you to set the alarm time, similr tothe way the time
was set above. When finshed seting the alarm, the radio will
auto power on by alarm timer clock, and playing te tation that
youlistened at ast.
Disable the alarm clock: you can again press SW/Timetbutton
to disable the alarm sothatit doesnot sound at the st time
Alarm Clock:

Disable the alarm clock: you cen again press SW/Time(® button
to disable the alarm so thatit doesnot sound atthe set time.
Sleep Timer:
Inthe Off state, press ON/OFF) button, the sereen will show
90 continues, then press again will show 80 continues, it show
as the following: 90-80-70-60-50-40-30-20-10-off, after set it
successfully, when arrive the time, it will turn off automatically.
NOTE: This setting is only effective in onetime, ifturn off
the radio, turn on it again, this setting disappear.
Lock button function:
Long press M+/Lock®D button to lock the function keys, making
all other butions invalid except for Muted) and ON/OFF)
button, which wll remain active.
FM button:
Inthe On state, pressing FM button can circularly change
the FM band, The frequency band is divided into: 1) 87MHz-
108MHz, 2) 64MHz--108MH7(Russia band), 3) 76MHz-90
Mile(apan band)
MW(Medium wave button:
Inthe On state, press MWS to activate the medium wave
band circular switch. MW is divided into two bands: 1)
522KHz-1620KHz and, 2) 153KHz-279KHz,
‘SW(Shortwave]
In the On state ofthe radio, using press on SW® button will
cycle through the SW band. The short wave frequency range
is 3.2Milz-21.9MHz, The band is divided into seven meters
band: 4.75MHz, $.95MHz, 9.S0MHz, 11.65MHz, 15.10MHz,
17.5MHz, and 21.45MHz.
7About the antenna
The antenna can rotate 360 degrees and the antenna can
telescope using its seven sections. The antenna is used to
receive noise free FM/SW radio stations. After pulling out
the antenna, change the length and the direction u
find the optimal location for the reception.
Optimal Medium Wave frequencies should be found by
rotating the direction of the radio itself using the built-in
‘magnetic antenna inside the radio.
