They say you shouldn’t change a good thing, and we couldn’t agree more. That’s why we’re sticking with the amazing dRumble band for the second year in a row, as well as Ties van de Ven for the fourth. 🙂
The theater is very dark, and the day has just begun. Heapcon attendees have just finished their morning coffee and decided to join us at Madlenianum. So we thought - let’s wake them up with a rhythm they won’t forget.
The dRumble ensemble was founded in 2016 by Aleksandar Radulović, a timpanist with the Belgrade Philharmonic, out of a desire to bring something fresh and unseen to the percussion scene. The group is made up of academically trained musicians who decided to play on everything but traditional percussion instruments.
dRumble is known for turning everyday waste into extraordinary music: cans, pipes, plastic and metal barrels, computers, bits of tech junk. Anything that can make a sound has become their trademark.
Their sound pushes the boundaries between improvisation, performance, and pure adrenaline. Every show is a mix of groove, energy, and chaos that somehow makes perfect sense.
They’ve set a new standard for percussion performance while inspiring younger musicians to explore, take risks, and play beyond the limits of what’s considered “allowed.”
Because rhythm isn’t about the gear, it’s about attitude. And that attitude makes dRumble one of the most exciting acts on the local scene.
Over the past six months, they’ve been working hard on a new project that blends percussion with a dance-techno vibe. At Heapcon 2025, they premiered a piece written especially for this moment, a perfect blend of percussion and dance-techno sound.
Sound has never been neglected — though the same can’t always be said for their social media. 😄
With a burst of rhythm and energy, we’re opening the 10th anniversary edition of Heapcon.
Once known as VoxxedDays Belgrade, and now proudly Heapcon, officially began! 🚀
