ok, I want to integrate a simple way to build a static library into Dev-C++... I am comfortable with using GNU ar, and all that. Is there a way I can get a script of something or template that will help me when making static libraries? Pointers to good docs on the subject would also help. Thanks, Darel |

Hello. Ihave DevC++ full package. When I do: " New Project", " GUI TOOLKIT", "GTK+". I have the template, but it includes two headers I don't have in my DevC++ folder: gtk.h and glib.h The Gtk.h should be in the GTK folder, but I don't have it neither. Can someone tell me what it is exactly, and where I could find it ? Thanks. VIVES Fabien fv...@fr... http://fvives.free.fr ( Ti92, Fargo, ASM 68K...). |

a jiffy is 1/100 second, a millisecond is 1/1000 second, so 1 jiffy = 10 milliseconds. Is there a resource development program (like Resource Workshop or Wedit -- for LCC_WIN32) available for Dev-C++? |

It's not different. GCC is THE standard C/C++ compiler for several places. It has been used in numerous free and commercial projects. Is the sleep() function defined in the standard library? If so, that may be where the "problem" lies. I have noticed several changes over the past few months to libstdc++, which is supposed to be the implementation of the standard C++ library. On my machine, sleep(5000) causes a wait of 5 seconds (or 5000 milli-seconds if you like). But the argument to the sleep function is supposed to be in seconds NOT milli-seconds. The delay function, by standards, is for milli-second waits. "Jay Silverman" <jas...@at...> on 04/10/2000 11:48:40 AM Please respond to dev...@li... The sleep function should count seconds. That is the standard. The delay function is used to wait milli-seconds. This book is freely available somewhere on the net - I have a copy, but I can't remember which backup I have it on. I suggest you search for 'programming ebooks' or something of the sort, or go to www.cprogramming.com which has an excellent set of tutorials.
