Get the membership at no cost (US students only)
Important:
- If you previously redeemed the 50% AI Premium student discount, you can cancel your current plan to be eligible for this offer at the end of the billing cycle. Learn how to cancel your Google One membership.
- If you’re currently subscribed to a Google One AI Premium membership, you can cancel your current plan and wait until the billing cycle ends to be eligible for this offer. Offer expires and must be redeemed by June 30, 2025.
You can get the Google One AI Premium membership for 15 months at no cost. To be able to continue the trial after August 31, 2025, you must reverify student status when asked to do so.
Eligibility:
- The user should be a student in the US who’s at least 18 years old.
- The student discount verification is limited to a single personal account and can’t be shared.
- A valid school .edu email address from the US is required.
- You must have a personal Google account and a Google Payments account with a qualifying form of payment at sign-up.
- Family members (manager and member): Plan members can’t sign up and aren’t recommended to leave the shared plan. To enroll in the new plan, the plan manager can cancel the current plan first.
- Apple App Store and Play cross billing subscribers: Web banner will request members to sign up for the new plan and cancel the existing plan later.

Use Whisk Animate

Users can easily remix ideas and create images with the help of Whisk, a Google Labs generative media experiment that focuses on fast visual ideation. Users only need to select images as prompts for guidance like scene, subjects, or styles and Whisk will try to capture their essence to generate images.
Whisk Animate is a new feature for Google One AI Premium members. It lets users transform generated images into short videos with Veo 2. Subscribers can generate 100 videos a month.
Tip: Video generation limit refreshes monthly. Credits don't accumulate.

- On your iPhone or iPad, sign in to Google One.
- At the top right, tap Settings
- Choose your new storage limit.
- To get more storage: Choose a plan under "Upgrade options."

- If there’s no downgrade option, you're already on the lowest plan.
- After you select your plan, confirm your new subscription.

Troubleshoot issues with Google One AI Premium
When you have a Google One membership through Google Fi Unlimited benefitAs of March 13, 2024, current Google One members through Fi Unlimited Premium can upgrade to the AI Premium Plan. Learn about Google One on the Unlimited Premium plan.
Plan managers of a 5 TB+ membership have access to the same features in the AI Premium membership. Family group members of 5 TB+ memberships who are 18 years and older can enjoy the following features until June 30, 2025 at no extra charge:
