About us
CDP is a global non-profit that runs the world’s only independent environmental disclosure system. As the founder of environmental reporting, we believe in transparency and the power of data to drive change. Partnering with leaders in enterprise, capital, policy and science, we surface the information needed to enable Earth-positive decisions. We helped more than 24,800 companies and almost 1,000 cities, states and regions disclose their environmental impacts in 2024. Financial institutions with more than a quarter of the world’s institutional assets use CDP data to help inform investment and lending decisions. Aligned with the ISSB’s climate standard, IFRS S2, as its foundational baseline, CDP integrates best-practice reporting standards and frameworks in one place. Our team is truly global, united by our shared desire to build a world where people, planet and profit are truly balanced. Visit cdp.net or follow us @CDP to find out more.

🌎 A Global Tour of CDP Supply Chain Action From China to Latin America to Europe, CDP spent the past two months connecting with stakeholders worldwide to strengthen sustainable supply chains. In Shanghai and Beijing, conversations centred on climate resilience, leadership engagement, and the need for better supplier data. In São Paulo, the focus shifted to transition finance, Scope 3 collaboration, and nature in value chains. And in London, speakers explored data-driven approaches to decarbonization, supplier engagement, and transparency. Across discussions, it was emphasized that collaboration across the value chain, with effective data use and shared accountability, is at the heart of long-term climate progress. By connecting companies with standardized supplier data, practical tools, and a global network of peers, CDP enables smarter decisions, stronger engagement, and more resilient supply chains - helping members stay ahead while unlocking their full potential. In today’s business landscape, environmental risks = financial risks. Supply chains are under unprecedented pressure - from rising costs and extreme weather to regulatory change and Scope 3 emissions that are, on average, 26x higher than a company’s direct operations. Yet many organizations still lack visibility over their suppliers, leaving hidden risks and missed opportunities. Through CDP’s Supply Chain program, members gain the connections that matter: ➡️ Trusted supplier-level data for smarter decisions ➡️Actionable insights to reduce emissions ➡️A global network of peers and stakeholders for collaboration The results speak for themselves: in 2025, nearly 45,000 suppliers disclosed through CDP, helping members uncover risks, improve engagement, and reduce costs - with companies cutting emissions across their value chains estimated to save up to US$54.4 billion. When companies act for nature, they act for their own resilience. Today, we’re launching the Step Up for Nature initiative: a new way for companies to demonstrate progress on nature action. By acting with science-based methods, companies can reduce risk, unlock innovation, and protect the natural foundations of their success. To participate in the initiative, companies indicate: 🔢 their next step toward #ScienceBasedTargets for nature, and 📅 the timeline on which they aim to submit it for independent validation 💡Credible action can start with a focused scope: #SBTN’s accelerated pathways help companies get started with flexible entry points, helping more companies step up for nature sooner. ⭐The first 25 companies to submit a milestone for validation through the Step Up for Nature initiative will be eligible to receive a 50% reduction in validation service fees – made possible through the Accountability Accelerator, the independent validation host for science-based targets for nature. As SBTN CEO Erin Billman puts it, “Step Up for Nature is where ambition meets credible action - for nature and for business resilience.” Find out how to take your next step for nature: https://lnkd.in/gB9knnCz #StepUpforNature

Last month at CDP’s Reporter Services & Supply Chain Forum in Europe, we caught up with Patrick Liebmann from Bosch to discuss how they’re driving credible, data-backed climate action. Patrick shared how Bosch integrates CDP scores, SBTi commitments, and supplier sustainability investments into sourcing decisions, strengthening climate accountability across their value chain. Great to see leaders like Bosch raising the bar on Scope 3 transparency and collaboration. #COP30 marked a significant turning point for global climate policy, setting the stage for what many are calling a new era of implementation COPs. As the global conversation moves firmly toward delivery, the availability of credible, comparable and decision-useful data becomes essential. CDP’s disclosure system already plays a central role in providing this transparency across climate, nature and transition readiness. As implementation becomes the measure of progress, high-quality data will remain vital for governments, investors and organisations working to turn COP30 commitments into real-world outcomes. See below our key takeaways from the COP30 Agreement. ⬇️

Watch Sue Armstrong Brown, CDP’s Director of Thought Leadership, directly from #COP30 in Belém as she shares an overview of the key developments from the second week of the conference. She highlights how CDP has supported the negotiations with essential data, the progress on transition finance, the integration of climate and nature especially in the Amazon context, and the growing alignment between governments and the private sector to turn commitments into real climate action. The #COP30 Presidency has called for a global mutirão — a collective, society-wide effort to tackle the climate crisis. If the next decade is to be the decade of implementation, it must also be the decade of collaboration. Yesterday, I saw that spirit come to life as I had the immense pleasure of hosting CDP’s flagship event at #COP30. We brought together partners and our community for an energising evening of discussion on how decision-udeful data can accelerate climate action. With representatives from Brazil’s Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (Ministério da Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação), the Securities and Exchange Commission of Brazil (CVM), UN Climate Change, UNDP, IFRS Foundation and OECD - OCDE, we explored how high-quality corporate environmental disclosure strengthens national climate commitments, builds #trust, and unlocks #transition #finance. It was especially meaningful to share the stage with our Brazilian partners. Our landmark collaboration with MCTI means CDP data is now integrated into DataClima+, Brazil’s new #NDC tracking platform — a major step forward in aligning national monitoring with real-economy disclosure. These initiatives go far beyond data sharing. They demonstrate what a whole-of-economy approach looks like in practice: connecting national systems with corporate disclosure, equipping policymakers with better insights, and enabling investors to deploy capital with greater confidence. A heartfelt thank you to all our partners and speakers for such a thoughtful conversation — and for giving me a renewed sense of optimism as we enter the final stretch of COP30.
