We welcomed over 30 MPs to our Parliamentary drop-in last week, as we celebrated raising an incredible £100 million for Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel! since 1996 💗 Through the incredible fundraising efforts of our colleagues, customers and suppliers, our Tickled Pink campaign has helped to fund better breast cancer treatments, vital breast health education and life-changing support, for anyone who needs it. We were delighted to welcome so many stakeholders in Westminster, and celebrate reaching this brilliant milestone - and we have plenty more to celebrate in 2026, where we will be marking 30 years of Tickled Pink. Today, we shared our Q3 2025 trading update. During the first half of the year, our ‘Formula for Growth’ delivered strong momentum, with volumes and like-for-like sales improving. We completed Project Future - one of Europe’s largest retail tech separations - which involved moving off more than 2,500 legacy Walmart systems and switching every part of Asda’s operations onto our own IT platforms.  This changeover was complex and severely disrupted our depot and store operations and the online shopping experience for our customers.  As a result, like-for-like sales in Q3 declined by 2.8%.       We are now on top of the issues and the worst is behind us. Systems have stabilised, operational issues are reducing, and performance is improving - particularly in recent weeks:      ✅ Availability has recovered its June position, sitting consistently above 95% across stores and online. ✅ Price leadership strengthened, winning the Which? big shop basket index every month this year and 16 out of a possible 22 ‘Grocer 33’ weekly price comparison awards. ✅ Continued investment in stores, through our George standalone openings and the £12m upgrade programme creating brighter, more welcoming environments. ✅ Express continues to outperform the market, with LFL sales up 3.5% and 17 new stores launched in recent weeks.    The progress of the first half of the year and in recent weeks, gives us the confidence to continue to invest in our stores and pricing in Q4 and 2026. 🌟 Colleague Superstar – Brilliant Service from Our Optical Team at Asda Sheffield Chaucer Road 🌟 We’re celebrating our amazing optical team at Asda Sheffield Chaucer Road, who went above and beyond to support an 89-year-old customer during his eye test 👓 Optician Shuaib Choudhury has been nominated for an Asda Service Superstar Award for his outstanding care and professionalism, after he took the time to explain everything clearly, making sure the customer felt comfortable and cared for throughout the visit 👏 ✨ Here's what the customer's daughter wrote to us to say: "From the moment we arrived, the team was welcoming, patient, and genuinely helpful. Seven-year-old Connor Durant is a huge Asda fan - so we were delighted to offer him the chance to enjoy a VIP day at our Stockton store! 💚 🎉 Connor, who's autistic, got the full Asda colleague experience with his own Asda green shirt, high-vis jacket, name badge and lanyard 👕 From serving customers at the tills to exploring a home shopping van, Connor loved his visit to the store. When he left, he asked 'when can I come again"! Store manager Michael Graham, who helped to organise the visit, said: "Connor had lots of fun around the store from serving customers to having a look inside a home shopping van. Celebrating Asda-ness and our colleagues going above and beyond for our customers 🌟💚 When a schoolboy in South Woodham Ferrers urgently needed a baking tray for his cookery exam, our amazing colleagues stepped in to save the day! 👏 His mum called the store in distress, explaining it would take her an hour to get there. Non-food manager Rod didn’t hesitate - he bought the tray himself and arranged for porter Tom to walk it to the school just in time for the exam. Rod said: "As a parent myself, I knew how she was feeling so I said to her not to worry and we'd get a baking tray to him before the exam started. I couldn't have the boy standing there and not being able to do the exam! It wasn't a problem. It made me feel good too, which was nice." The boy’s mum was incredibly grateful, and Rod was nominated for an Asda Service Superstar Award, which covered the cost of the tray and rewarded his kindness 🌟 👏 Huge thanks to Rod and Tom for going the extra mile and showing what great service really means!
