🌍 We’re excited to introduce the eight remarkable young innovators shortlisted for the 2025 Fieldfisher and Social Shifters Environmental Sustainability Challenge, one of our flagship One Firm Action skilled volunteering programmes. Over the past few months, more than 100 Fieldfisher colleagues across 13 offices have served as virtual judges, reviewing 1,000+ bold, mission-driven projects focused on advancing a fair and just transition to a sustainable future. These eight inspiring entrepreneurs now move to the next stage: pitching their ideas to a panel of Fieldfisher judges for a chance to win €10,000 and tailored mentorship. From AI-powered water safety solutions to autonomous reforestation robots, algae-based emissions monitoring and biochar for carbon removal, these projects showcase the creativity and determination of the next generation of sustainability leaders. 📣 Flipping the script on Islamophobia, one story, one laugh at a time. As part of Islamophobia Awareness Month 2025 and its theme #FlipTheScript, Fieldfisher's Muslim Network and RISE Networks were proud to host an evening of comedy and conversation with award-winning comedian, writer and actor Nabil Abdulrashid. Nabil brought humour and honesty to powerful themes — family and parenting, Nigerian heritage and African culture, giving back to the community and challenging stereotypes while addressing biases that impact Black communities. He also explored intersectionality, reflecting on identity and belonging as a Black Muslim in Britain. Nabil’s storytelling illuminated how comedy can challenge stereotypes, spark dialogue and help us see the humanity in one another. 🎓 Our trainees made their way back to the Birmingham and London offices after an inspiring visit to University of Exeter this week. As part of our university outreach programme, several of our trainees went back to their alma mater to share insights into #LifeAtFieldfisher, discuss their career journeys and answer questions from future aspiring lawyers. For many of our trainees, returning to Exeter was a nostalgic and meaningful experience, revisiting favourite spots while giving back to the student community and showcasing what our firm is all about. They spoke with around 60 engaged attendees who asked thoughtful questions during the session, with many staying afterwards to learn more about training opportunities at Fieldfisher. 🧢📚 And yes, the Fieldfisher merch was a hit! We’re expecting to see plenty of branded caps and notebooks across campus soon.
