Updates

  • The $1.4tn industry that keeps every building running just got its AI upgrade. We’re excited to share that we’ve co-led the pre-seed round alongside our friends at Concrete Ventures into TYTEN, the AI platform transforming how facilities management teams handle repairs, maintenance and help desk operations. Facilities management is the invisible engine behind every building - yet most teams are still buried in manual admin, slow processes and outdated tools. Tyten is changing that fast. Here’s why this matters: 🔧 Two days of admin saved every week thanks to automated help desk workflows ⚡ x20 faster task processing through AI-powered triage ⚙️ Step-by-step repair guidance so junior technicians can perform at senior level. In a sector historically underserved by technology, Tyten is one of the first companies to build AI specifically for how facilities teams actually work - informed by over 400 hours shadowing technicians and help desks on the ground. We’re proud to back Vladimir Pushmin, Tom Petrides and Sergey Nasonov, a founding team with deep operational, technical and industry expertise. AI is about to become the standard in facilities management; and Tyten is setting the pace.

  • 📢📢 AUTUMN BUDGET 2025 WRAPPED UP 📢📢 The Chanellor Rt Hon Rachel Reeves delivered a Budget heavy on tax rises; but also packed with meaningful wins for the UK’s early-stage ecosystem. Ambitious founders drive future growth, and they rely on investors willing to back them early. Yesterday’s announcements strengthen that pipeline. Key Changes to SEIS, EIS & VCT: 👉 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐈𝐒 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐭 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐬 Pre-investment: £15m → £30m Post-investment: £16m → £35m Takeaway: High-growth companies now have far more headroom to raise meaningful follow-on capital and scale faster. 👉 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐬 Standard: £5m → £10m Knowledge-Intensive Companies (KICs): £10m → £20m 👉 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐬 Standard: £12m → £24m KICs: £20m → £40m 👀 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 Government is launching a call for evidence on how to encourage founders to scale, stay and reinvest in the UK. A positive signal for long-term competitiveness. 👀 𝐍𝐨 𝐄𝐱𝐢𝐭 𝐓𝐚𝐱 Reconfirmed today; a clear win for keeping exits (and founders) in the UK! 👀 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 and 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 More funding via Innovate UK, the British Business Bank, new growth-stage vehicles, and increased capital flow from pensions. However, this positive news was balanced by a significant change for VCT investors. 🤯 From 6 April 2026, VCT income tax relief will fall from the current 30% to 20%. 𝐀𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐚𝐱 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝟑𝟎 𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞. The government says it wants the UK to be the best place to start, scale and stay - and these measures move the needle in that direction, especially for founders raising larger rounds. For us, it’s business as usual: backing exceptional founders from Pre-Seed through Series A+, supported by a growing LP base committed to this vital and attractive asset class powering the UK’s future. 💪

  • 🍾 OUR ANNUAL INVESTOR EVENING 2025 🍾 Last Wednesday, we brought together our investors, founders, and friends for an evening of insight, conversation, and connection at Victoria House. Guests heard from Jean-Baptiste Brian and Joe Jefferies from Hg Capital on the evolving impact of AI across industries, and from Nick Perrett and Ricky Knox at Prosper, one of our portfolio companies reshaping savings and investment space. 🤯 Our team also shared an update on the broader venture ecosystem and key developments across our funds and portfolio. We also loved being able to work with one of our own portfolio companies, Togather (thank you Digby Vollrath!), who helped us source and coordinate the perfect venue for the night - a great example of the strength within our own network 💪 A few themes stood out across the evening: 💡 Confidence in the UK’s early-stage market remains strong - innovation and ambition continue to thrive. 🤖 The AI wave is only accelerating, with new opportunities for every business to harness and apply it. 🤝 Relationships, talent, and human creativity are still the biggest drivers of growth and success.
