EMAIL ALERTS THAT PAYPAL ACCOUNT PASSWORD HAS BEEN ALTERED have begun to be diverted into gmail's Spam folder this past week.
It opens a security hole because customers will not know when their Paypal account has been changed fraudulently.
I tried to alert Paypal, but couldn't get past their Customer Services' assurances that "our technicians will be aware of this issue..."
With so much at stake, could gmail give these notices special immunity from the Spam filter????
(Yes, I could perhaps set up a "never send to spam" filter - if my browser could access the newer version of gmail (which it can't) - but the problem would still remain for users who don't know they are affected....)
A larger intervention is needed to prevent people from failing to learn when their Paypal account has been taken over without their knowledge.
PLEASE, GMAIL, CONSIDER GIVING THESE NOTIFICATIONS A SPECIAL STATUS. THEY DON'T EVER BELONG IN SPAM!!
Also in this past week communications with my eBay trading partners are also going to Spam. This began at the same time.
Good luck with anything you can do to solve this! Thanks.
