If you are going to criticize Lance
at least spell his name right- its
not Forntow, its Fortnow. And note
that he did significant work on
time space tradeoffs for SAT.
Why are Lance and Bill and Scott and
whoever you want to mention different from
people who publish false proofs of P=NP
or P \ne NP? They do not claim to have
proven results they have not proven. Also, I suspect that if they made such a claim and a flaw was found they would retract quickly and thank the person who spotted the flaw, rather than engage them in an 80+ comments argument on some blog.
