I so didn't want this book to end. It brought great comfort and peace to my soul.
Throughout the chapters, it hit me to "ask Jesus to take your place" in all areas of my life -- illness, relationships, etc. -- and I thought, "Well, yeah, He would do that. He would take my place in 'this illness'... He would take that illness upon Himself, and cast it away..." and as the pains continued, I noticed the anger and frustration and negativity I'd been suffering/feeding for umpteen years now had faded. My attitude had changed, thought 'the illness' remained, and I realised what a blessing that would be, and is, to have Jesus' attitude in all things, no matter what my circumstances, and, oh, how I rejoiced, and continue to rejoice, over that!! In all things, I can give thanks as I say, "Jesus, take my place," and I pick up on His response and attitude.
Thank you so much, Max, for helping me find this place and peace.
I am going to have to listen to this a few times, just for the comfort and peace and hope it offers. xx1 person found this helpful
