()
About this ebook
Kelly Kusumoto has published five short stories on various websites across the globe. In his first self-published eBook, he brings each of these stories together and also includes three previously unpublished stories from his archive. Tinderbox, his first published story, is about a young man who inherits his grandfather's secrets. 9102 follows as an homage to his Japanese/American family and their struggle during WWII internment. End of This World is a psychological cluster of imagination, as a man deals with a painful breakup. Death Cues brings billiards and a certain mythical figure together. First Hand is a look into a criminal's mind. 30,000 is a micro flash fiction piece on WWII Concentration. Broadway Junction focuses on subway preachers and Ben's Favorite Uniform is a children's story about bullying. Check out the early works of this emerging author who grew up in Los Angeles and is now pursuing a full writing career in New York City.

Before handing these stories over to you, I would like to acknowledge the websites and the fine individuals behind them for publishing my work and giving it an audience, as well as a place for that audience to read them. Thank you to Martin Hooijmans at The Story Shack, E.S. Wynn at Smashed Cat and Linguistic Erosion, and all the fine folks behind Mysterical-E. I’d also like to thank my fiancée, Colleen. Without her, I would not be writing. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy!

As of March 2015, I am in the twilight of my Bachelor studies at Full Sail University. I am set to graduate and earn my BFA in Creative Writing for Entertainment later this year. The first four of these stories were projects for my program. The last was an impromptu story I wrote while sitting on the can.
