These pages contains proven steps and strategies on how to live a great life, achieve your goals and enjoy yourself in the process without exerting too much effort.
With this eBook you’ll discover that happiness is an option you have.Though our environment and the persons in it may not be the best for us,deciding to be happy is a personal choice. This work will help you understand that happiness appears by itself when you master the ability to harmonize the three principles which will be discussed here. After reading this eBook you’ll live in a constant state of happiness. You’ll look back to your past and you’ll discover you always had it there (happiness) but you just never dared or knew how bring it forth.
What is happiness? I’m not going to answer this because there are thousands of definitions for it. In fact, each and every one of us perceives happiness in his/her own personal way. You can answer this question to yourself. Actually, I think you should answer this question before we begin the journey. Just take a couple of minutes off and think about what happiness is to you.
Today I’m a fulfilled man that builds, maintains and enjoys his own happiness. I would lie if I said this was always like this… that I was always a happy man throughout my life. No, I haven’t always been happy and today I realise the luck I had not being happy in the past. Why? Because having intensly experienced unhappiness and lack of motivation gave me a big and clear vision as well as perspective between both sides (happiness and unhappiness). That contrast allowed me to identify the mechanisms that bury us in unhappiness and, on the other side, the ones that pushes us to re-emerge and live a life full of joy and future. Having known this process allows me today to do what I like, which is helping other people who are in a negative emotional state to get to a brighter place in their lives.
I’m going to share some basic knowledge which helped me to find and forge enduring happiness. In my opinion, it all comes down to how your think, how you act and how you treat your body.
The mind-body connection is probably one of the most complex phenomenon in the entire universe. Hundreds of years of research and we barely scratched the surface. Almost 50 years ago, we did not know much about the way in which our brain controls our body and behavior. The relationship between what we think and how we act was somewhat clear, but we didn’t knew how the brain actually works. There were so many mysteries. For example, how can a physical mechanism (the brain) express into something completely immaterial (the mind)? If you think about it, each and every one of our thoughts is the result of millions of neurons interacting with each other. But is there a pattern to be discovered there? Recently, scientists began to work on something impressive called brain mapping. Basically, they are trying to determine which part of the brain is responsible for each of our actions, thoughts and emotions. It’s a daring project which will eventually lead us to the ultimate truth. The only problem is that inside our brain, everything is interconnected. It’s like trying to untangle millions of wires. What actually fascinates me is that, although the connections seem chaotic, the end result is something truly amazing. From that chaos, results our consciousness. In fact, different parts of ourselves (body, mind, behavior) work together to create what we call self.
But let’s take a closer look at each of these 3 separate parts of ourselves.
We’ll start with the body, which is an amazing structure composed of various mechanisms that work together with incredible accuracy. Being protected by the skull, our brain acts as the central command. Anything that happens within our body and any influences from the outside environment are carefully analyzed by the brain.
Let me give you a clear example, so you can understand how important this organ is. If you get lost on an island, without any food or water, your body will consume its fat and muscle tissue. The internal organs will always come first, but not all of them. At some point, the only remaining organs which still function are the brain and the heart. This 1.400 grams structure, composed of billions of neurons is the foundation of our mind. Maybe someday, scientists will succeed in unraveling its mysteries and gain valuable knowledge about who we are.
The fact that I decided to add the physical principles in the last chapter doesn’t mean that they are less important. Each one of the principles that you’ll find in this book share the same value. The only thing that differs is the order in which you choose
