Every time I have to work with Captiva software aka InputAccel I’m amazed at the lack of documentation, specifically easy to follow documentation. EMC2 who owns the Captiva suite of products has some documentation available however even for seasoned experts the documentation is disjointed and cumbersome in my opinion.
With Captiva InputAccel end of life for SP2 being December 31, 2017 and Captiva Formware end of life is December 31, 2016 users are going to be upgrading to Captiva 7.x. With the release of Captiva 7.x the sub brand (InputAccel) has been dropped as EMC is working towards a unified product. Previous EMC was supporting three different capture platforms InputAccel, Formware, and Dispatcher. Each platform had a unique VBA or multiple versions of VBA. Interaction between the products was burdensome and unintuitive.
