About this ebook
Almost the entire human population use electricty- and take the electrical supply absolutely for granted.
Electricty has become an integral part of our life and I was really surprised when I found many of my undergrad students are not even aware of the difference between AC or DC supplies or a single phase/ three phase supplies or even as to why we use a 3 pin plug or 2 pin plug.
Some fundemental concepts - every user should know about electricity - with that in mind, this book is written. This can be read and understood by wvry one and no maths or engineering knowledeg or any other prequistes required.

I wonder why this book was not rated so far. It’s excellent for a student to understand the basic difference of regularly used concepts. Today I learnt the difference between a motor and an engine. Thanks dear Sir. I loved to read your simple yet informative book.

Preface
Energy is delight. There is no other delight. The very vitality, the very energy of being,is delight,is bliss.
- William Blake, English Poet.
Electricity can be dangerous. My nephew tried to stick a penny into a plug. Whoever said a penny doesn't go far didn't see him shoot across that floor. I told him he was grounded. Tim Allen
Consciousness give rise to thoughts as electricity gives rise to light -Dwaraknath Reddy
I am not a doctor, but, still I understand the importance of heartbeats, blood pressure and body temperature. I know what they are and what should be the respective and normal standards of these vital human factors.
The Doctor of medicine may understand about the energy flowing and causing the heart beats – but, every one of us may not understand or have the same level of understanding about the electrical energy that flows in to our households.
Eightu,
I remember my two year old baby crying for light to be switched on, the moment he wakes in the middle of the night. The light should be switched on.
There should be electricity flow in to the hidden wires that connect the bulb to the source
