First Things First

Download the Game

The first thing you must do if you want to play Minecraft: Pocket Edition is get a mobile device and make sure the battery is full and you have a charger nearby! Then, purchase the game through the app store or the android market place.

I recommend getting the free version first to see if you like the game. Once you fall in love with the game, upgrade and purchase the fully functioning paid version which runs about $6.99.

Choosing a Mode

After purchasing the game, open up the game and let the magic begin! The main screen will give you the option to Create a New World – select this option. Decide what mode of the game you would like to play in.

I recommend playing in survival mode (the most popular) because get to create and battle mobs. If you aren’t feeling like battling with mobs, get onto creative. You can go wild building, flying, and making beautiful structures without being interrupted by mobs. There are a few are modes you can experiment with and try before making a decision on which mode you want to make your world in.
