Two possibilities exist: either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.
— Arthur C. Clarke
SuspectSky’s YouTube channel launched in late 2012 as the auspicious passion project of its creator for the purpose of exploring obscure, mysterious, and occasionally subversive themes. Rather than exploiting manufactured footage for shock value, SS endeavors to create content with integrity and open skepticism, ultimately leading the viewer to draw his own conclusions. Each video he produces is a painstakingly crafted patchwork of original source material, provocatively calibrated to inspire its viewer to connect the pieces on his own while being both engaging yet also entertaining.
As he prepared to release his first video in November 2012, Documentary of an Uncertain Future,
he confided that, regardless of the amount of views he gained, he would do this only because he enjoyed it, whether anyone bothered watching or not. Entering the vast YouTube landscape with an unknown name and an untested channel, he was committed to producing content of quality and substance, which would always take priority over commercializing his channel and gaining subscribers. Over six years, almost 90,000 subscribers, and 17,000,000 views later, it appears he has succeeded at both.
People are, in fact, watching. Yet, his unrelenting dedication and meticulous attention to developing content for SuspectSky stems from his love of the project and the intellectual value of the material he releases. He does this because he enjoys it. The day he no longer feels he can deliver exceptional content, SuspectSky will cease to exist. That remains his commitment to the genre, his network, his fan base, and himself.
From his first video to his landmark Rise of a New World Order
trilogy, to more recent compilations, and the weekly discussion series, SuspectSky’s channel has evolved from a humble hobby to a serious occupation. Instead of relying on the instant, yet transient, traffic and engagements bestowed by the fickle following of his competitors, SuspectSky has built his success gradually, fortifying his impressive number of followers with meticulously constructed and intelligently crafted content, including this book.

Foreword
You, I, the author of this book, and millions of people across the world have something in common: we are all looking in a similar direction. Whether our gaze is fueled by curiosity, fear, faith, or experience, a common interest in the uncharted frontier brings us together.
The world of exploring the unknown is very much a buyers’ market. There are a million people offering a million theories about a million topics, and it’s reborn like the Phoenix on an annual basis, growing larger every time, in every way. The field exploring ETs, UFOs, and related issues is no different. Whatever it is you want to find, you can find it. If you want to confirm a belief you have, you can find someone who is willing to tell you it’s the truth. If you want to be shocked and wowed, then you can find innumerable examples of photoshop, scary video titles, and people lying about mundane sights in the sky. The skill level required to scare people with a YouTube video is very low.
For those who want to find pure fact-based examinations, which sometimes end in disappointment for those wanting to someday join some universal community, the choices are not so numerous. The reason is simple: debunking a UFO sighting is bad for business, even if it is a blatant fake or obviously a bird or plane. It is a sad truth that there are just not that many people out there capable and willing to be a referee of the scientifically sound and utterly preposterous. The author of this book is one of those capable referees.
The topic of UFOs and ET requires fact-based analysis to support the truths many of us feel are true that we believe inside, and this is especially true given the scientific revelations about widespread water and earth-like planets throughout the cosmos. Those with the passion for the topic, the dedication to whatever truth is found, and with the skill to do the research and analysis required, are very few. SS is one who is devoted and capable of leading this revolution of thought.

Chapter 1 – Introduction
Introduction
This author is the creator of the SuspectSky YouTube channel and supports the Observing the Frontier Conference and the Suspicious0bservers Project. As a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and a practicing corporate attorney, this writer has a different perspective from many mainstream scientists when collecting, analyzing, synthesizing, and presenting data. The communities of SuspectSky and Suspicious0bservers share the desire to examine information in a different and more open-minded way than the majority represented by today’s scientific paradigm. Our community endeavors to create the vanguard of the post-modern renaissance necessary to encourage people to be less concerned about the significance of being specialized in one single skill set. The over-reliance on this specialization paradigm has resulted in a model wherein the forest is completely obscured by the trees.
During modern times, the human civilization has increasingly improved at ever more discrete skills and tasks through the process of specialization, thereby generally contributing to progress through the proper and objective grouping and amalgamation of these discrete skill sets. However, left to its own devices, such emphasis on segregated paradigm development and perpetuation has had the undesirable effect of creating a system of stove piping,
wherein each skill set has developed with near-complete insulation from the valuable inputs of other equally well-developed disciplines.
During the Renaissance, there were great advancements in the progress of human civilization, resulting from an emphasis on both improving existing skills as well as exploring novel perspectives and finding new ways of problem solving. Renaissance innovators such as Leonardo da Vinci were, simultaneously, famous inventors, painters, sculptors, and philosophers. They brought new perspectives to many aspects of life by incorporating a variety of disciplines. As you’re reading these words, this writer is extremely excited that you may be a part of a community that is rediscovering this Renaissance-like thinking by open-mindedly looking at the universe with all its nuances. This shift in perspective is what will propel our civilization to greater heights in the future and, toward that end, the concepts within this book are offered for your kind consideration.

Drake Alexander
