The Historical Jesus in The Passover Plot Approach
Through the instrumentality of the Christian Church a certain Jesus who lived nearly two thousand years ago, and who was crucified by the Romans at Jerusalem, became the central figure of a new religious cult, as the Christian creed superseded the pagan religions of the West the potency of the Jesus Faith increased: it established him for multitudes as God incarnate in a human being to save mankind by suffering for their sins.
