I was born in Makuleke village just outside of Malamulele town, I grew up staying with my Father, Cousins and Grand parents . It was such a wonderful big family to grow at, My Grandfather had a little farm in the village periphery where they planted corns, watermelons,Peanuts and cucumbers and they would harvest in bulk. My Father would take me to the pre-school with his bicycle, as an infant I always thought that was amusing since my friends had to Walk for a distance from their homes to the Pre-school. Sometimes my father would come with my bicycle and we would tag along and cycle on our way back home. We would go to the dam to fish on weekends, My Father use to love fishing and he would teach me even though I never catch a single it was Fun.
I Graduated in Pre-school and I was actually blissful to see my Mom in the Venue, I would rarely see her since I was Staying with my Father full time. But I could tell something is not going well between them, my Mom was bit moody. I went to the Primary School the following year and I recall vividly when my father registered me in the School. I was bit Nervous to be in a crowd full of strangers, eventually I Saw most of my peers that I enrolled with in the Pre-School and it was a relief. The academic year started and I was one of the tidier and smartest learner in our grade and my Teachers we're impressed. They we're surprised and inspired because I was staying with my father yet I'm the tidiest, they didn't believe it.
We would Cycle to the Water canal and my father would wash our Clothes and it was such a wonderful experience. I liked the smell of the blooming bushes and the sound of birds they make after drinking water in the canal. My father was my best friend and my peers was always inspired by my relationship with him. He is very accommodative and open minded, we talk about Fast cars, Movies, Music, Traveling, Share business ideas and Education.
It was a thrill to be around my Father, even though My Grandparents would get Angry at him when we come back home late. But I thought they we're irrational because the village is safe in comparison with Urban areas. I would Cry if he leaves home without me, He would sometimes go with me in the bottle store to watch Soccer and even though it wasn't a good environment I never wanted lured to Taste Alcohol nor to Smoke. He use to tell me how bad Alcohol is and tells me it's side affects , Hence I never liked it or lust for it.
My Father got a job as an MTN Public phone attendant not far from our home, I had a mixed feelings about it. I thought I was not going to spend more time with him anymore, but I ended up understanding since I had to go to school in the Morning as well. However, after school my Grandmother would give us his lunchbox to accompany it to him at work. I would be happy because I know he's going to give me some Candies or Money and I would spend some time with him. All the Joy I had kept me motivated as a boy and it enhanced my academic performance and creativity, I was smarter and Matured for someone my age. I felt like my peers we're dump and left behind, I had my first girlfriend when I was in grade A. It was actually the girl I went to the Pre-School with and we knew each other very well. The relationship was bit unusual because I would see my girlfriend only in the Pre-School.
We hardly seen each other after school, I would even forgets I had a girlfriend after school. I mean as a boy I've been playing the whole day with my friends or I go to see my father at work. I only went to my girlfriend's home once to see her, I didn't know how did her mother know about us because she was calling
