Hi everyone! Today, I’m excited to share my interview experience with Accenture. Here's a detailed account of the process, from application to offer acceptance.

Application and Initial Contact

  • When I Applied: I submitted my application for a Java and Spring Boot developer role through the Naukri portal in May.
  • Initial Contact: A month later, in June, I received a call from Accenture. They asked about my:
    • Technical skills
    • Total work experience
    • Current work location
    • Notice period

Shortly after, I was asked about my availability for an interview the following weekend, to which I confirmed my participation.

First Round: Technical Interview

The technical round was focused on Java and Spring Boot. The interviewer asked detailed questions, including:

  • Spring Boot Basics:
    • What is Spring Boot, and how is it beneficial over the Spring framework?
    • What are Spring Boot actuators, and what are their uses?
    • Explain dependency injection and its significance.
    • Common annotations used in Spring Boot.
  • HTTP Methods:
    • Differences between various HTTP methods.
  • Technical Concepts:
    • How can we change the default port number in Spring Boot?
    • Difference between final, finally, and finalize keywords.
    • Difference between static and final methods.
  • Programming Task:
    • Write a program to count the occurrence of characters in a string using HashMap.

The round lasted approximately 40 minutes. Shortly after, I received a call informing me that I had cleared the technical round and was shortlisted for the managerial round.

Second Round: Managerial Interview

The managerial round, conducted the following week, focused on my project experience and collaborative skills. Here’s a breakdown of the questions:

  • Project Details:
    • Describe your role and responsibilities in your previous organization.
    • Which teams did you work closely with?
    • How do you approach new requirements?
    • Explain the design and documentation process for both backend and frontend.
  • Agile and Testing:
    • How do you handle sprint cycles?
    • What is your approach to unit testing and its documentation?
  • Cloud Basics:
    • Explain the differences between PaaS and SaaS.
    • How are these models used in Azure?

This round lasted 30 minutes and went smoothly. I was informed that I had cleared this round as well.

HR Discussion and Offer

A week later, I received a call from HR to discuss the offer. During this call, the HR representative explained the salary structure and shared the offer letter. I accepted the offer after carefully reviewing it.

Final Thoughts

The overall interview experience with Accenture was smooth and well-structured. The interviewers were professional, and the process allowed me to showcase both my technical and project management skills.

Good luck to everyone preparing for their interviews! Stay confident and be clear with your answers—it makes a world of difference.
