BCECE (Lateral Entry) Overview:-

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) conducts the BCECE (Lateral Entry) exam for diploma holders who wish to join the second year of B.E./B.Tech programs in engineering colleges across Bihar. This pathway allows students with a 3-year Polytechnic/Diploma to skip the first year of engineering, making it a quicker route to obtaining a B.Tech degree certificate.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed a diploma in the relevant branch of engineering/technology with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories sc and st).
=>If you are last year in the diploma then eligible for applications.
=>No Age Limit
=>No Branch Restrictions

Application Process:-

  1. Online Registration: Candidates need to register on the official BCECEB website.
  2. Application Form: Fill out the application form with personal, educational, and contact details.
  3. Upload Documents: Upload a recent photograph and signature.
  4. Application Fee: The application fee is ₹2200 for all categories
  5. Submission: Submit the application form and take a printout for counselling.

Important Dates of BCECE LE :

  • Application Start Date: June.
  • Application End Date: July.
  • Exam Date: August.
  • Result Declaration: September.
  • Counseling: October.

Exam Pattern:-

  • Mode of Exam: Exam is conducted offline .
  • Duration: 2 hours and 15 minutes.
  • Type of Questions: multiple-choice questions.
  • Total Questions: 150 questions.

Exam Center and admit card:-

  1. Mostly Patna except some reason
  2. One week before exam

Result and Rank Card:-

  1. Results will be published in 5-7 week
  2. Rankcard also available during results time
  3. If your result not showning measn not clear english paper.

Counselling and Seat Matrix:-

  1. Tentative seat matrix will be published after result published.
  2. Counselling 1-2 week after results.[Online counselling ]
  3. Counselling will be done in 3 rounds
  4. If seat available then mop-up round conducted offline mode

Seat Allotment & Admission: -

  1. Download Allotment Letter
  2. Visit to allotted college within mention time
  3. Take your all necessary documents
  4. Before download allotment letter need to freeze or apply for upgradations
