Microsoft Interview Experience | SDE-2 | L-61 | Got Offer

Hi,

I got a call from the recruiter to appear for OA after which my interviews were scheduled. All three rounds took place on the same day: 22nd Nov 2024

Round 1: DSA Round

Question 1:

You are given an array of integers, and you need to find the maximum sum of a subsequence such that no two elements in the subsequence are adjacent in the array.

Write a function maxSumSubsequence that returns the maximum sum of such a subsequence.

Input:

nums: An array of integers.

Output:

Return the maximum sum of the subsequence where no two elements are adjacent.

Sample IP : nums = [3, 2, 5, 10, 7]

Question 2:

Implement stack Data structure using Array.

Round 2: LLD Round

I was asked to design a parking lot system. The code was expected to be working.

Each car may be of a size S, M and L and parking lots of the same size but limited. eg 200 S size parking lots, 100 M size and 50 L sized.

As soon as a car enters, you have to check the car size. If the size is unavailable, opt for the next highest size of vehicle and so on. And have a price sheet based on the parking lot size per hour. At exit you need to charge the customer with the appropriate amount.

I was able to come up with a working code for this.

Round 3: Hiring Manager (HM) Round

It was a resume based round on projects done and a good amount of behavioural questions.

I got the call from recruiter a week after the final round. All three rounds took place on the same day. Offer letter was rolled out on 29th Nov and I took joining date as 06th Jan 2025
