I applied for TCS NQT 2024

The test pattern of NQT

SECTION 1

• Aptitude 25 questions (Moderate)
• Reasoning 20 questions (Easy to moderate)
• Verbal 25 questions (Easy)

After this, there is a another section

SECTION 2

• Advanced Aptitude 15 questions (Moderate to hard)
• Coding Question 1 (easy)
• Coding Question 2 (Moderate)

Can’t Switch between the two sections. switch between coding only after submitting 1st question

After Clearing NQT Test 2nd round is the Interview.

generally criteria is like

• Score well in aptitude but not able to solve coding question--->ninja
• Score well in aptitude and able to solve 1-1.5 coding question--->digital
• Score well in aptitude and able to both solve coding questions --->prime

NOTE:- This may vary year to year and shift to shift and also by organization decision committee

TR+MR+HR Round (Approx 50 minutes) – 5 JULY 2024

MY interview was held in my college campus

Questions asked were:

1. TR Interviewer

• Introduce Yourself
• What is singleton design pattern
• Explain multithreading and how we can Implement i

Asked some Cyber Security concept as i mention cyber security in my resume

• RSA algorithm
• AES & DES algorithm
• public key and private key
• firewall
• security measures
• encryption
• hashing

Asked questions from data structures

• Quick sort (ask me to code)
• diagonal sum in 2d matrix
• there is one question in which he ask you have an array of string and you have to find smallest number of character till the string are matching. example ["aba","abb","abab","abba","abaaba"]. In this only ab is matching so answer will me 2.
• stack and queue
• what is k means algorithm
• what are type of css we have
• Software development models

Then he move to oops concpet

• polymorphism
• abstraction
• functional interface
• diamond problem in java
• Constructor overloading and overriding.
• Ask some exception handling concept like throw vs throws

2. MR Interviewer

• Project discussion
• SDLC life cycle explanation
• which SDLC model you have used in your project
• how you have implemented cyber security concept in your projects

3. HR interviewer

• Ask about my family
• ask about my hobbies
• Asked about my home city
• Asked about college life and hostel life
• Why do you want to join TCS?
• Ask me about the time when i used to learn technology which are note meant to be learn at that time.
• And at last, he asked me if I had any questions.

The Result came within 10 days

Verdict – Selected for Digital role.
