Round 1: Aptitude Test

My Experience:

The first round was an online aptitude test that lasted for two hours. The test was divided into three sections: Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, and Verbal Ability. The Quantitative section included questions on percentages, time and work, and probability. The Logical Reasoning section had puzzles and a series of questions, and the Verbal Ability section covered grammar and comprehension.

Preparation:

I prepared using R.S. Aggarwal’s Quantitative Aptitude book and practised online mock tests. Time management was crucial, so I focused on speed and accuracy.

Round 2: Technical Test

My Experience:

The second round was a technical test that primarily consisted of coding questions. I was given problems to solve in C and Java. There were also questions on data structures like arrays, linked lists, and sorting algorithms.

Preparation:

I practised coding on GeeksforGeeks and LeetCode. I watched YouTube tutorials to clarify concepts of algorithms and data structures.

Round 3: Technical Interview

My Experience:

In the technical interview round, the interviewer asked detailed questions about the projects mentioned in my resume. They tested my coding skills by giving me a problem to solve and asked me to write the solution. They also asked questions on databases and SQL queries.

Preparation:

I thoroughly revised my projects and the technologies used in them. I practiced problem-solving on HackerRank and CodeChef. I also reviewed SQL queries and database concepts.

Round 4: HR Interview

My Experience:

The HR interview round was quite comfortable. They asked me for a self-introduction, about my career goals, and questions about Tech Mahindra. There were also situational questions like "How would you handle a conflict in a team?"

Preparation:

I researched Tech Mahindra and read about their recent projects and achievements. I practised answers to common HR questions and kept my long-term goals clear.

General Tips:

  1. Dress Professionally: Wear formal attire for the interview.
  2. Be Punctual: Arrive or join the interview on time.
  3. Clear Communication: Answer questions clearly and confidently.
  4. Ask Questions: Ask insightful questions at the end of the interview.
  5. Follow-up: Send a thank-you email after the interview.
