I picked thiAs a debut author's first novel, SHE KILLED IT!! Man, that was so fun to read. I can see now why it was all over my feed I'm so impressed.
I picked this one out of boredom and i couldn't be more happier, It was so unexpected. The story of this book is so refreshing from the usual romance novels and I really appreciated that.
The Kiss Quotient follows Stella, an econometrician who has Asperger's syndrome and is badly at social skills. So in order develop those skills she hires Michael, an escort who is willing to help her overcome her anxiety and difficulties. Fast forward, what started as a professional help becomes a fake relationship and in result of Stella's obsession tendencies, she falls in love with him and Micheal, ever the nice guy, can't help but fall for his sweet Stella. What I loved most about this book is how the author portrayed people with autism perfectly, from their habits to the way they follow rules in their lives, it was both fascinating and enlightening. I actually didn't know what life was like for an autistic person, so this was really helpful and I formed some kind of an understanding for people with autism. There was something fun about this book, for two completely different people to meet and form a unique bond, especially with Stella's issues and Micheal's past, it was nice seeing their charachter's development and the way they deal with it. I liked the way the story went it was smooth and some would say it was rushed, but for someone like Stella it wasn't at all. I also really loved how their families played a part in their stories, that was really nice and heartwarming.
Another thing that captured my attention is the mixed cultures in this book, from the Korean drama to the Vietnamese mixed race, it was a really nice touch and different from what I usually read. All in all this belongs in my favorites shelve.
If you are looking for something fresh and fun, there you have it, don't even hesitate....more

I was stunned, honestly. I excepted some childhood love story, but I got more than I've bargained and i was lost for a moment there. I can't possibly explain this book, it's hard. Words can't describe it, it's like a feeling. Is that possible? Or am I just blabbing?.
This is the story of true friendship. A tale of love, but not just between two people. It's about family, friends, lovers and dealing with loss, and learning how to gracefully let go of things.
“In the end, only three things matter: How much you loved, how gently you lived, and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you.”
The three Amigos, that's what the book is about. Mer, Noah and Cora. All the three friends tangled up in friendship, love and despair. Friendship because they all made a promise when they were too young to know. Love because some of them decided to break that promise. And despair because one of them decided they couldn't take it anymore and left the others behind.
I think I've learned few things from this book about how friendships are supposed to be. They are selfless, loving and caring. Friends are supposed to be there to pick up the pieces when one falls apart, to cheer you up when you are feeling down, to stand by you and fight whatever life throws at you. And to think about it, I've never had a true one in my whole life. When you are friends with someone, it isn't just about you anymore, they are part of your life and that matters. You can't just let someone into your life and not take care of them, and I think that's what Cora did. She didn't measure up to Noah's and Mer's hearts, I wanted to hate her, but then I couldn't, she was just a scared child in a dark room that she never got to escape. I related deeply to Mer, she was the strong one for everyone around her and neglected herself in return, she was good at loving others, but never good at being loved. This book had me in tears most of it and I actually appreciated it.
I loved this author's writing style, it had me hooked up from the start, seeing as this is my second book of hers. The past story in between the present ones was great actually, it gives you insight into the history of the characters as events unfold both in the past and the present, it was brilliantly done.
“Sometimes it’s the smallest part that steals the show.”
I would recommend this book to anyone who is feeling lost, happy or sad or any kind of feelings. It speaks to all of them, whether you are young, old or going through a hard time, it doesn't matter because It will get you through it. It did to me....more

That's what I love most about her actually, she always delivers something different and fresh to her readers and keeps showing us the many different aspects of love in each one.
I don't think I'm capable of writing a full review right now, but I'll put in a few words for the sake of my friends, I know they will read this! (Imene & Farah that's you xD)
“if you only shine light on your flaws, all your perfects will dim,”
All Your Perfects is about a married couple going through a very difficult time and trying to find their way back to each other, I think almost nobody speaks about this, i've read so many books but none of them talked about a broken marriage or how to fix it, it always ends up in divorce and meeting new people, that's the easy way. However, in this book, Coho didn't chose the easy way and that's what makes this book more valuable in my opinion. We get to meet meet both characters at different times between the past and the present and how things shifted between the two of them, it was heartbreaking and scary going through that, realizing what the years did to them, how it ended drifting them apart from each other and what was once the highlight of your life became your worst fear. We know that Quinn and Graham met under an unusual circumstances, but it seemed like their love was meant to be and it was worth fighting for. Even after 7 years of marriage, it was still going and strong.
I loved how this book shone light on certain topics and how society placed so many expectations on women; whether she wanted to be a mother, a housewife or just a wife, when in reality a woman can be whatever she wants to be, as long as it made her happy.
Also, another thing I learned from this book is that no matter what situation you are in, communication is always the key, it pained me to see Quinn and Graham suffering through their silence, losing all kinds of interaction between them and then realization hits you that sometimes love is just not enough, you have to work for it, make it happen and fight to stay in it, forget all about fairytale talks and how you will always love that specific someone, that doesn't happen in real life. When two people love each other, they make it work, they talk through it and they don't take their love for granted.
There is so much to learn from this story, it has truly opened my eyes to things I didn't know could happen to someone, to lose all hope and face hard decisions, yet still somehow manage to get over it and become stronger than before. I would recommend this book for anyone tbh, it's just perfect books for every situation, Coho always manages to make you relate to someone eles's issues even if you've never been in their shoes before....more

It's not what you tI just finished this and I'm so glad it was my first read of 2018, I don't think any review will do this book justice. I loved it.
It's not what you think, it's not only based on love or unconditional love, there are many others things, it's entirely different and I can tell not so many are going to like what it's about. I found myself relating to a lot of situations that was mentioned in the book just like any 16 years old girl would do! some thoughts that we all shared, things we would have done..
Overall, this book was a hit for me, especially since I'm trying to do more YA and realistic fiction reading, I'd like to recommend it but not everyone has the same tastes in books.. Honestly I'm really happy about my choice in this book, I don't know.. It felt like it was just what I needed!...more

This book will take you into the journey of four people: Hollyn, Daisy, Jace and Carter. they meet through a program called Dear Life that will help them cope with their problems. As the program begins, so does a new friendship between the four of them, each different from the other, some of them will lead to simply falling in love!

Colleen Hoover did it again and delivered such a book, I don't know how to write this without spoiling some of it, but I will try my best not to, because just as many of her books which is not the same at all as this book, IT IS A MUST READ.
I don't feel like I can do any justice to this book, no matter how many words I put into this review you won't possibly get it until you actually read it, it is not romance, sure, there is romance involved but more than that, there is a whole other package that comes with it.
Merit Voss is a seven-teen years old, she is barely and adult and just like any other teenager in the world, she is struggling to find her place in it.. She's this kind of socially weird girl, but being inside her head was like going through a roller coaster! And I LOVED IT. Unlike any character I have read before, she has this habit of collecting trophies that she absolutely DID NOT win, it's like a hobby or something, it's weird but it is one of the things I liked about her personality.
Her family is very interesting in an unusual way, they are not completely on track, and everyone lives their lives in their own world, which leads to keeping secrets from each other and building more lies and lies, except for Merit who seems to know everyone's secret and yet she is the most invisible of them all while carrying the burden of those secrets with her. So when Sagan enters her life, he's like a breath of a fresh air for her, soon enough she's falling in love with him and experiencing things for the first time from another perspective.
I kind of struggled with the first few chapters because I couldn't wrap my head about the exact content of this book, I had mixed feelings, it's like one moment I am confused, the next I am shocked! Which is hilarious, really, because THAT MADE ME EVEN MORE CONFUSED.
This book gave me some of It Ends with Us vibes, there were a lot of similarities and feelings, I felt like it was personal in some way, and sure enough it is easily one of my favourite books, I pretty much will read anything that Colleen Hoover writes, she is absolutely one of my favorite authors and I really do appreciate her books, this one was just one of these books that you don't want to miss. And let's not forget the fact that she took time and space in this book mentioning the syrian case and honoring the victims, it was really overwhelming. That being said, the book was enjoyable, addictive and very, very inspiring....more

The story was so breathtaking, Bree and Archer just became my favourite people, their kindness and love to each other was beyond everything! I am still in awe of this book!!
Bree was this kind human being who's always smiling and helping others, she was so strong and caring and I liked her immediately.
Archer on the other hand, Oh god, he was perfect in his own way, although there is nothing perfect about his situation, but he was this kind, awkwardly social, loving man. I think if I had to pick my favourite males characters, he would be the one! I just can't love him enough!
I really don't want to spill this story but whatever you're doing, grab this book, it is totally worth it! I cried and laughed and felt my heart break for both of them, this book has definitely left its mark on me!...more

The bookThis is my second book by Kerry Wilkinson, and I am officially an addict! I couldn't put this one down, it was everything I expected and more.
The book is basically about Olivia Adams, a girl who went missing from a small town when she was only six. Now thirteen years later Olivia is back.. or is she?, she's eighteen, so grown up and so "Alive", her mother believes it's her, her dad too, but not everyone is going to welcome the missing child with open arms. Doubts start to interfere, and poor Olivia is getting more than she bargained for!
The story keeps going as Olivia tries to blend in with her new life, and we start getting glimpses into someone else's past, Lily's past to be accurate, so what's the relationship between the two of them? And how is it going to affect either of them!
I personally found this book really entertaining, it was interesting and the story kept going with as much intensity till the last chapters! I really enjoyed this one....more
Honestly, I have no words to describe how much I loved this book, it was so unusual, so captivating, so different from anything I've read before especHonestly, I have no words to describe how much I loved this book, it was so unusual, so captivating, so different from anything I've read before especially by Alessandra Torre, I have read few of her books and I was addicted to her writing instantly, she's so talented, she knows just how to give you a little bit to keep you going, but never the full story. I was really impressed and it is absolutely one of my favourites!
The Ghostwriter is about Helena Ross a writer, she is 32, and diagnosed with cancer, which leaves her three months on this earth, her personality was hard to like, especially at first, she was this cold hearted person who stopped caring about everything and anything. So in order to free herself from her horrific past, she decides to take these three months as an opportunity to remedy herself, so she begins writing her final book, her last confession..
I can't tell you anymore about the events of the book, unless you want me to spoil it for you AND trust me, you don't want that! I was so glad it wasn't spoiled for me, sometimes I read reviews before picking up books and some gets ruined for me eventually, but I was happy I went blind into this one! It was so addicting, I found myself so intrigued and my mind kept building useless theories the whole time, it is the kind of books that will keep you on the edge from the first page!
I highly recommend this book of you want some mysterious adventure, like JUST read it, okay? I finished this book yesterday and my mind can't- no scratch that- REFUSES to jump into another book. I think I'll need more time to accept the fact that it's over.. Of course I shed a LOT of tears, I didn't know whether to be happy or sad about it! It was juat so worth it!...more

Do I think we needed a third book? Honestly, no. Am I glad we go a third book? ABSOLUTELY.
Louisa Clark is a character that will probably stay with you forever, I mean Hell, I still think about Me Before You till this day and I never regret going into this series, I love it! I'm always delighted to know about her and her life, it's like going on an adventure to be honest, it's an amazing experience.
So in this book we learn about the next stage in Louisa's new life, New York. We learn in the second book about her new job as a personal assistant and we get to explore it in this book, so you can imagine how life must be for her, English woman living alone in New York, away from her boyfriend Sam, with no relatives whatsoever except for Nathan who seems to have built a life for himself there so she can't exactly rely on him. The story follows her life there as an immigrant struggling to meet ends for her employer while also trying to cope with the changes in her life following Will's words;
"You're going to feel uncomfortable in your new world for a bit. It always does feel strange to be knocked out of your comfort zone."
Following a new series of events Lou finds herself facing other challenges trying to make something out of herself and not just the plain Louisa Clark from Stortfold.
"I think at some point, dear, you're going to have to work out who Louisa Clark really is."
I loved that part, especially. It was nice seeing her embracing her real identity and staying true to herself. What's even more exciting was seeing Sam stands by her side all this time, I was obsessed with the letters!
Overall, I think this book was really a nice addition and it makes up for the second book, I was hooked from the start and it gave Lou's story a nice closure and the happy ending she totally DESERVES!...more

So.. Wow. Just WOW. I've never been more confused in my whole life, and it just happens to be over a book! Yeah? Sound confusing? You should see me right now. I'm a mess.
So yeah, HOLY CRAP. It Ends with Us is one of the most intense, powerful books I've read so far, and as personal as it gets, it was beautifully delivered with such a heart wrenching story.
There's absolutely nothing not to love about this book. It's the kind of books that crawl inside of you and hugs your soul! Yes, it did it for me. This book is everthing you need, it's a story you want to love and hate at the same time, and that is exactly why it's powerful.
This book is written from a single POV, and that is Lily our main character. She is no strange to domestic violence, in fact, she grew up in an abusive home, where she witnessed her mother being abused by her father. Lily kept wondering the whole time why did her she chose to stay instead of leaving him. And that, is, why she left her home as soon as she was able to, putting all that behind her while having a tenuous relationship with her mother and struggling to define the respect she has for her.
Not soon after her father's funeral, Lily meets Ryle. He's smart, funny, driven and soon to be doctor. They go in separated ways after that night, but fate has other plans for them, they meet again and he turns out to be her best friend's brother ( talk about coincidences!). They can no longer deny their attraction for each other. Especially when Lily realises she hasn't felt that way since her first love, Atlas, she was 16, which means 8 years has passed but she still feels something for him despite the way he disappeared from her life. So Lily takes her chances and before they know it, her and Ryle are falling in love.
Things seem to be great, but something happens when Lily least expects it, she reunite with Atlas after 9 years pricesly. He seems to be great and has obviously moved on with his life, so Lily decides to ignore the feelings that are still there, and moves on with her life with Ryle.
Eveething Lily has known and believed in shatters in front of her eyes, when one fight goes wrong with Ryle and she ends up in the same situation as her mother. She starts to question her life, her relationship, the things she swore she'd never go through, but it's not that simple.
Sometimes the one who loves you is the one who hurts you the most.
Hoover continues to deliver the story with such intense events, that goes back and forth between Lily, Ryle and Atlas, and let's be honest, we're all tempted to ignore some of them but it would be easier that way.
I wondered sometimes what would happen if things were different, would Lily be more happier now if she stayed? Would Ryle change for good? I don't have answers for that, but one thing we should know, Lily did the best thing she could. One: for her daughter. Two: for herself. Because she deserves it, she deserves more actually, she is in her mother's words: Brave and Bold.
This book is for everyone, it delivers such a powerful story that most people should be aware of.
"It stops here. With you and me. It ends with us."...more

But still not good to be convinced to move into a hI had mixed feeling about this book and was mildly confused, but all in all I thought it was good! But still not good to be convinced to move into a house like that..
Anyway, the story is about Emma and Jane, both woman lived in the same house on One Folgate Street with the strange landlord at different times! As if the strange landlord isn't enough, the house comes with a bunch of rules that must be followed and there are consequences in case of breaking any of them.. Oddly enough, Jane leans about the death of the girl before, Emma, and she tries to uncover the mystery of her death, that's when Jane finds herself shadowing Emma's life! From her affair with Edward to her therapist to many other things I don't want to spoil.. Just to discover that maybe that's not the life Emma lived after all..?
I found my self caught in the past/present timeline, and it messed with my head sometimes, and it just felt like it was too much at times but the storyline kept going strong from the the beginning to maybe the last two chapters or so? that's when it started to collapse for me, it was so weak and not as fascinating as the story, I don't know, maybe others found it great but I was not convinced. Overall, it did the job for me, it was addicting and interesting, it kept me jumping from this to that and making all these crazy assumptions!
However, I must say I loved every minute of it (except the end ofc)! I'm just addicted to domestic thriller and it's hard for me to find a catching one, or I'm just that picky, but I was so happy I found this one and I heard they're making a movie for it soon and I cannot wait for it!Yas!
So, yeah if you're into domestic/psychological thriller then this one is for you, you will not regret it!...more
This is the third book in the Deanna Madden series and hopefully NOT " l am freedom, and my name is Deanna."
Well.. It's been a hell of a ride!
This is the third book in the Deanna Madden series and hopefully NOT the last ONE.
In Deanna Madden previous books, 1 and 2, we got to know the girl in the E6, a working webcam girl, the broken and vulnerable girl, the strong, capable and independent girl.
In this book we continue the journey of Deanna through her life after a year from Jeremy's incident. She is finally having an almost normal life. She is content with the people in her life, her relationship with Jeremy, friendship with Mike and the progress of her therapy with Dr. Derek, but with her illness, such things seems impossible especially when she starts doubting herself and strugggling to identify " who she really is".
"When I open my eyes, I am the girl I never wanted to be but have been for a long time. I am the madness, the demon, the insanity."
Told in Deanna's words, with side characters, If You Dare explore many sides of Deanna's personality, her love, her madness, her insanity, and how far she would go to protect the people she loves. I believe this is my favourite book in the series, it is truly outstanding, it was dark, twisted and AMAZING! I will always miss Deanna, she became one of my favourite hereoine, I really wish there will be a fourth book. THERE MUST BE.
I'm so sad it's over, Deanna Madden series will probably be on my to re-read list, I don't think I will ever get tired of it!
" Hope. Hope is dangerous. Hope can be the loose thread that pulls apart your sanity. "
These were that last words on the book, and I'm writing this" Hope. Hope is dangerous. Hope can be the loose thread that pulls apart your sanity. "
These were that last words on the book, and I'm writing this review and hoping the next book will show us a glimpse into a better future for Deanna!
Deanna is webcam girl, she is twenty one, lives on her own, single.. Everything seems normal, right? But what isn't normal about her life is that she's been locked in her apartment for the last three years, why? Well surprise surprise; she has murder tendencies! She hasn't interacted with any human being the entire time, in other words she's protecting them from her homicidal thoughts.
Her life is based on three simple rules: 1. Don't leave the apartment. 2. Never let anyone in. 3. Don't kill anyone.
The question is; what will happen once she's broken one of these rules? Well, that's why the book is here.
The story starts with Deanna's life and it explains how she became a webcam girl and how she ran from her old life after her mother killed her entire family and then killed herself ( you will discover the truth about that later). I loved her snarky personality, she's strong and yet vulnerable at the same time, I felt so sad for her, she was hurt and lonely. Then there is Jeremy ( the delivery guy) he is such a sweet guy whom Deanna counted on for bringing her life supplies and emails for the last three years.. ( there's more to find out about them, I just don't want to spoil anymore).
There were other people involved in the book such as Annie and Ralph ( Michael), I didn't understand their involvement at first but then the picture got clearer. And the storyline got better.
I loved this book it's dark and edgy and there's a lot to discover, And I loved Deanna, she's the perfect heroine....more

I found it quite hard to adjust to the different timelines at first ( Catherine's personality now and then) it was like a total different person.
This book tells the story of a girl who used to party and go out almost weekly and mostly CARELESS!! and that almost costed her life after she met a sharming gorgeous man "Lee", it all started fine till he turned to the psychopath abusive person he really is ( it was quite scary to be honest), there were many disturbing scenes from abusing to rape so mental abuse and mind games, anyway the books also tells how she became after nairly being killed and how after 3 years she became a peson suffering from OCD and PTSD and scared all the time, and in between the timelines we see how all her friends turned against her and thought she was being mad and how after 3 years she met her upstairs new neighbor " Stuart" who turned to be a psychologist and convinced her to start the healing process..
Alast, the author gives you the idea that things are going fine and smoothly that you start to question yourself then you get this twisted plot which is even more THRILLIN!
I loved this book it kept me up all night and even more, I felt like I was living these events. it was worth it!...more
