Dataspace & Data Experience Lab Guidelines

The Dataspace in the Hunt Library and the Data Experience Lab (DXL) in the Hill Library are provided by the Libraries to support the data needs of NC State University. Both spaces offer specialized hardware, software, and work areas intended for data science work, along with in-depth consultation. Everyone using these spaces is expected to conduct themselves in ways that support these primary purposes and to be courteous to others. This includes limiting the noise level to enable users to concentrate effectively on data work and engage in data science consulting. Please leave any hardware configurations in place, refrain from unplugging any computer cords, and leave furniture in place. Priority for computer and space use will be given to those utilizing them for data work. Please be thoughtful about whether your behavior might be disruptive, disturb others, or interfere with the intended use of the space. Individuals not engaged in data-related work may be directed to relocate to a different area of the building to support those who rely on these spaces for their learning and research.
