The Anziva team showed up strong, taking home 1st place at Utah State University and 2nd place at Brigham Young University pitch competitions hosted by The Nucleus Institute. Anziva is developing advanced drug delivery systems, specifically using transdermal patches and solid dispersions, to significantly improve the performance of existing drugs for chronic pain and trauma. This recognition validates their innovative approach and the critical impact they are ready to make in patient care. New York City, thank you for the incredible insights at Demy-Colton's Biofuture conference. The pace of innovation in biotech right now is truly astounding. Through engaging panels and conversations with founders and investors throughout the week, a few key trends really stood out: 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐈&𝐈) continues to gain momentum as a major focus area for pharma partnerships and biotech investors alike (excluding GLP-1s) 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐋𝐏-𝟏 𝐟𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥. Founders are growing weary with the media's fixation on this one class of drugs, which they fear is overshadowing groundbreaking work happening across other disease areas and therapeutic innovations.
