This week, as inboxes fill with standard out of office replies, we’re reminded that millions of caregivers, parents, and essential workers don’t have that luxury. There is no “off switch.” No guaranteed pause. No paid time to recover, reset, or simply take a breath. As a team of majority parents, we know that logging off from work often means logging right into motherhood. And that invisible labor is anything but optional. That’s why we’re proud to stand alongside Paid Leave for All to spotlight a crisis that can no longer be ignored. This year alone, more than 450,000 women have left the workforce: one of the sharpest drops we’ve seen outside the pandemic. Burnout is at a high. Affordable child care is out of reach for many. And without federal paid family and medical leave, when 1 in 4 mothers return to work just two weeks after having a baby, we’re well past breaking point. The cost is profound. Families lose income. The economy loses talent. And caregivers—primarily women—carry the burden. So this Thanksgiving week, we’re flipping the script with a different kind of out of office. One that calls out the truth: our most meaningful work is often the work that doesn’t come with PTO. Care isn’t a break from work. It is work. What are you stepping out of the office for this week? #OutOfOfficeForCare #PaidLeaveForAll

The first European Style Organic Infant Formula that meets FDA standards. Founded by moms in the U.S.
About us
Bobbie is the first and only mom-founded and women-led infant formula company in the U.S. Our European-style recipe meets all FDA requirements, is made with pasture-raised milk from Organic Valley farms, and is the only infant formula to receive both the Clean Label Project’s Purity Award and Pesticide Free Certification. Bobbie is working to shake the stigma and evolve the conversation around how you feed your baby to one of confidence, not comparison, from how we feed to what we feed. We lost sleep over this so you don't have to.

An important note from our CEO, Laura Modi on the state of the infant formula industry:
This weekend, ByHeart announced a recall of their infant formula. Today, that has escalated to a full nationwide recall of all ByHeart products as safety concerns rise across the country. While Bobbie is not involved in this recall, when something like this happens it affects every formula feeding parent and every US formula company. We are in this together. I’m not speaking to this specific recall or byheart but rather to what this means for the industry that we serve. As an formula CEO I’m being asked “What does this mean for the industry?” but as I sit here with our team navigating through this moment, we are not talking about the impact on the industry, business, or bottomline right now… we are asking ourselves, ‘What does this mean for parents?’ And I am reminded: there is no greater responsibility than feeding babies and hearts go out to all the families impacted by this recall. Name a product that is more essential than infant formula? There’s nothing else like it on shelf. Functionally, this is the sole nutrition that babies rely on 7x a day to be nourished. And emotionally, this is the product that parents rely on to feed the most precious human in their life. Waking up one day to hear that the product you are feeding your baby is being pulled off shelves for safety reasons is down right scary - THAT simple truism should be the only guiding principle on how to react in moments like this. It is about care, support, empathy, accountability, humility, and ownership. And every formula company (whether directly impacted or not) needs to provide peace of mind and build confidence in the safety and quality of their product. I'm acutely aware that NO food system is ever without risk--Bobbie included--but as a leader in the industry we promise to our Bobbie fam that we will always lead with transparency and urgency. My hope is that this moment serves not as a source of fear, but as a call to action: for stronger oversight, more conservative manufacturing practices, and an unwavering commitment from every company in this space to treat infant formula as the life-sustaining product it is. And on the note of support… If you or a friend has been impacted by this recall, please don’t hesitate to reach out, our Bobbie team is here to help however we can, always.

When CBS News asked if they could sit down with our CEO and co-founder Laura Modi we said of course and we invited them into our manufacturing facility in Heath, Ohio to see for themselves how our USDA Organic formulas are made. Reporter Meg Oliver wanted to dive into the recent Consumer Reports testing on 41 infant formulas from the US, UK, and EU- half of which tested for concerning levels of heavy metals and/or chemicals. Bobbie was proudly named a Top Choice by Consumer Reports for our low and non-detect levels. A snippet below and a link to the full CBS story in comments!

We are 150 voicemails away from our goal to send 1,000 personal stories to lawmakers about how a lack of paid leave or access to safer births in the US has impacted you or someone you know. Want to help us hit our goal? Please call ☎️ 732-QQ-CARDI ☎️ and sound off. We're logging every call, printing it out and bringing it straight to lawmakers. The government may be off work, but we are not. Can you take 2 minutes and share your story? Tag in a friend who should as well. 📸 Photos below from our Brooklyn Bobbie Booth Pop Up last weekend where 100+ parents entered the booth to call Cardi B and share their story. 💚 Thank you to Loop Activations for supporting our experiential pop up this weekend

We built a green phone booth and yes, we bedazzled the phone. This weekend the Bobbie Booth was born. As our Cardi Bobbie campaign continues into experiential, our team showed up in Brooklyn to help reach our goal of sending 1,000 stories to Congress from parents impacted by the lack of paid leave or access to safe births in this country. To our surprise, when we showed up at 7:30 in the morning-- there was already a short line waiting to sound off. Parents came with stories prepared, written out, and ready to share their story and help us make an impact. We're so close to hitting our 1,000 voicemail goal- you can hit the last few by calling 1-732-QQ-CARDI. Thank you to our non-profit partners birthFUND, 4Kira4Moms, Inc., and Paid Leave for All helping us personally meet with every single person in line. The energy was uplifting and we're hopeful we can take each of these voicemails to lawmakers so their voices can be heard. ✊

A note from our co-founder and CEO, Laura Modi: Families who rely on SNAP are about to lose benefits that help them pay for essential foods, like infant formula. Feeding cannot wait on funding. So while the government remains shut down, we’re showing up. Starting today, SNAP eligible families can access Bobbie Organic Original for $14/can, which is $1 an ounce. We realize this is not a full solution to the systemic issues happening, or the stress so many families are under — but it’s how we are able to urgently show up for families in this moment. As an American-made, mom-led company, my hope is this helps some families who are navigating how to keep their babies fed during this expected funding gap. If you are a family impacted by the potential loss of SNAP and need this access to baby formula, visit the link in comments below. -Laura

Most brands panic when you cancel. Bobbie threw me a virtual party. Here are 4 reasons I am absolutely OBSESSED with all things Bobbie and think they are crushing it from brand, strategy, and ops lens! 1/ They celebrate churn! When I ended my subscription shortly after my son's first birthday, their cancellation page didn't beg me to stay. It CELEBRATED his transition off formula. 2/ They use data like humans, not robots. After the catastrophic floods in Central Texas this summer, I received this text from Sarah Hardy, Co-Founder, checking in on us. Every brand has customer data (zip codes, addresses, etc) but Bobbie actually used it thoughtfully and intentionally, leaping into action as a group of concerned moms and reaching out to families in the general vicinity. This is how you show up! This is how you care! I responded and we went back and forth a few times. This wasn't an automated text (which is why I scribbled out her actual number), and it absolutely blew me away! 3/ They turn culture into conversation. This week's Cardi B campaign? Yes, perfectly timed. Yes, visually stunning. But look deeper: They used a massive cultural moment to spotlight the maternal health crisis in this country that disproportionately impacts Black and Brown mothers. That's not marketing. That's leadership. 4/ They somehow solved a logistical nightmare. Once you subscribe to Bobbie, they guarantee inventory for your entire formula journey. No "out of stock" panic at 2am. No frantic store runs. No mental gymnastics calculating backup plans. I don't know how they do it operationally. I just know it's the difference between a product and a promise. This is what happens when founders actually live the problem they're solving. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk!
